ive been waiting for the supervisor for a hour and still no closer by the sounds of it. the woman is annoying me more than anything not understanding my problem and trying to calm me down, even tho i am not annoyed. dont you hate false sympathy0

well I was on the phone for 1 hour and 35minutes and my compensation went from £3 to £30, which I have accepted!
and they have emailed my confirmation of vouchers too... still disappointed at not getting the box set but at least i can look for something else instead.
Good luck to anyone still on the phone and those about to call, my thoery is that this should be easier for you all, after all of us that had the long haul at the start!pinkpinkfizz

Ive just been told the reason i never received a email cancelation is cause my email is not verified. I said thats why i receive all your offers and any order confirmations and dispatches. next minute she has changed my email prefferences as i got a email about it.

doubt it works like that. i imagine everyone is going to have to push the issue if they want decent compensation. I'm a nervous person on the phone, but shall be emailing and if it comes to it i will cancel all orders with amazon, and not use them any time soon, which at Christmas will be difficult:eek: :rotfl::rudolf:0 -
I have called the number and was just told I will receive a email explaining- that's it! even after telling her that my daughter is without a birthday present. Yesterday my amazon account said it was to be delivered on the 3rd November.
Very dissapointed with Amazon and won't be buying off them in the near future.:money:

I'd pursue this; it's an 0800 number after all.
The bottom line is that if you put aside it was a really cheap deal (that did exist as some recieved them), the the CS was poor and we lost two weeks in which to source an alternative supplier.
A key argument should be that they need to compensate you for the difference in price between their original price and the price today from an alternative provider - about £45.
Why not get some gift vouchers - I got £50 worth so give it a whirl.0 -
My orders disappeared as well ... have sent them an email but will also call later. Will give them time to cool off and then start pestering again0

Just logged on to see my order has vanished. An email has just this minute popped in my email box saying sorry with a £5 gift voucher.
