    yeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa £50 beat that!

I'm serious. I took the nice guy approach by the way - no shouting, just kept saying that it was very poor CS to not inform me that the order was cancelled.........and that I could have bought one myself during the 2 weeks I've been waiting.

Also was on the phone for 35 minutes in total, mostly on hold.

was it a supervisor who offered it? or normal agent?

the supervisor - the normal agent was limited to a tenner compensation.

anyone offered compensation actually had the "gift" amount added to their account
  • I emailed them earlier on today - Check out this email I just got - funny they are now saying its a pricing error?

    Dear Customer

    Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.

We're sorry that you feel aggrieved with our decision not to accept
your order for the "Cinderella / Bambi / Mary Poppins / Alice In
    Wonderland / Dumbo".

We endeavour to provide our customers with the best possible online
shopping experience and we realise that on this occasion, as a result
of a pricing error, we have not met that standard.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope you will continue to enjoy
    shopping at Amazon.co.uk.

    Warmest regards

Just spoke to a CS assistant and she says all managers are busy and time for holding on line is 2 hours
I got her full name and she has taken my number to call me back.
Don't hold out much hope for that,
but will cancel all other orders with them and won't shop there again.
I shop there monthly at least,

Got £15 with no pushing at all. Really couldn't be bothered being put on hold for 1 hour so took it. I wasn't even that bothered about the set anyway...so £15 free is a nice little bit to put towards crimbo presents :)
  • They are having a meeting and will call me back a little later, she was very apologetic and I do think I will get a call back.

I'm at work, can't call them at the mo - but can anyone give me the direct number (I hate that call back thing!). They have no responded to my e-mail yet either!
