Ah I am loving the snow! :j
OH managed to get to work despite train delays and I am sitting here in my PJs with a big blanket around me and eating porridge!! :)

I love that fact that we (England) are always totally unprepared for the same weather we get every year!! :rotfl:It's like every season we're all in denial - 'it's not going to be a hot summer', 'it's not going to be a rainy autumn', 'it's not going to be a snowy winter' ... :rotfl:

  • I didn't get the info about bust measurement off the internet! It is in the catalogue from Amplebosom. Sally Robinson, a farmer's wife from North Yorkshire, could not get bras and knickers in larger sizes so she decided to set up her own company based in redundant farm buildings, and she's been very successful, employing 10 people in a part of the country where there is little other work nearby. I quoted that info from her catalogue.

For a while now I've been wearing Triumph sports bras size 42D but they are beginning to feel a bit roomy inside. I don't think my boobs are that bad considering. Not as bad as some of the women I see when I go to aqua-aerobics!

However, today the scales register 73.1 kg. This is not the rate of loss I hoped for, BUT this is less than I've weighed for many a long year, so good news. This converts to 11 st 7.2 lb. I really wanted to get to 11 stone or below by the end of the year - I suppose it may still happen, but my weight loss does not go down in a linear fashion. Even losing weight at all can only be done if I keep rigidly to 1100 calories/day and stick to low GI as much as possible.

well done, some fab losses coming in already, large or small they all count!!

I know this is totally shallow, but this morning I saw a pic of jennifer aniston looking amazing in a bikini and it's now my inspiration. I know she is not exactly the best role model, having been documented as eating baby food and tiny salads to stay slim, but I would love to feel confident in my swimsuit this summer and it just hit a nerve. She is 40 for crying out loud!

We had our first snow last night! Makes me feel all Christmassy! We even had our SW Christmas lunch yesterday at our local carvary. Very nice is was too - although there was a lot of butter on the veg:eek:
Weigh in meant a 1 lb gain this week:o I really must try harder, think I will make a pot of butternut squash soup for lunch.
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • Gosg such a lot to catch up on since I went AWOL, been a weird old week, hospital for a week, doing nights whilst hubby did days only I did more of the day than I should have done and ended up exhausted, it's taken three days to be able to behave like a normal human again, qudos to those who do nights normally! I am just too sociable to go to bed when everyone is up and talking to each other!!
I haven't dared step on the scales in the last two weeks, I shall have to have words with my self, after all my clothes feel no tighter, a little looser in fact but the last time I stepped on the scales it was for the health insurance nurse, (needed a medical for the life insurance, oh which they then declined me for!! Talk about how to make you feel good!) and the results were way over what my scales had last said to me (she weighed me at night and I weigh in a morning) but still it made me feel like well why am I bothering.

BUT I am bothering, calorie watching, I even turned down a custard slice which hubby brought me thinking it would cheer me up...silly silly boy, it's cost him the price of a decent treadmill to make up for that little slip up!! Which is being delivered today, so no matter what the weather I can put some work in! I have delighted in the snow, I refuse to get the car out to take DD to school (yes ours are still open) so as she is desperate to go we walk there and back, which means I am doing 2 miles without even thinking about it and as our school is at the top of a big hill it's hard work, especially watching your step in the snow.
I will try and be brave tomorrow morning and put a weight on paper (so to speak) and keep trying.

Since I got my new WW scales, I weigh nights as well as mornings, and I find that there is usually 1 kg more at night.

makes sense I suppose, as you are carrying around the weight of all the food/drink of the day in the evening. I usually see a difference of about 2lb between morning and night.
that's why I weigh myself 1st thing, no food, no clothes, no extra weight! :rotfl:

Just out of interest, I just converted my weigt into kg - I only have to lose 7.5 kg... sounds a lot easier than 16lb! LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
