BB - glad to hear you're loss is being noticed, and all that organic veg must be doing you wonders.
I have been battling a cold for ages, keeps coming and going. Think the last bout was my own fault for cycling home from the gym with wet hair tho
Eric- I always crave sweet things after a meal, but to be honest I had put it down to conditioning - all your life you are told to have dinner first and then dessert, after 25 years your body expects something sweet to follow every meal!! I am going to let my kids have pudding first!
Re. bra size - the thing that drives me mad (being a 'voluptuous' lady) is that the same size in different shops always comes up different. My solution - take a range of sizes into the changing room, ignore the labels and just find the one that fits nicely. Also - I do the 'jumping test' when trying them on - a few bounces will tell whether the back is too lose and it will move around too much.
I think the most common mistake is women wearing too big back size and too small cups.
sorry boys for the girly chat!!
I am still struggling to keep myself on track - something about feeling a bit ill, cold weather and a mild feeling of terror that it's now too late to do anything about my weight before xmas (i am very self-defeating)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

and to make it worse, I am completely fed up with foodfocus.co.uk - its product lists are mad! I am only trying to find the quaker porridge i had this morning and lists all the varieties, flavours etc except for the plain one i had!! Irritating!
Have already easten badly today as I had half of OH's sandwich with real mayo in (he is ill and didnt want it all) I wish I could get ill and lose my appetite, as soon as I feel a bit rough my body craves sweet, sugary, carby food.
right, that's it. I'm back on SW as of NOW!!!!!! *determined look on face*

we got our first light dusting of snow last night. i've heard rumours that one or two other parts of the country have got a tad more of it than us
beanielou...soup soup and more soup, a different variety every time, maybe that's the way forward during this little cold patch?
bettyB... i dont know what foodfocus is, but if slimming world works for you, then why use a different plan?
mandz... come on, you dont need to wait until next week to start afresh. Start today instead and then by next week you will have a result to post :-)fredsnail wrote:... And there was me wondering why I kept falling out all over the place :rotfl:
Sorry if that was too much information for you all0 -
A pathetic dusting of snow here but enough for a few chancers to claim they couldnt get in with the snow.0

Hello gang,
BB - really glad to hear you're finally feeling the positive benefit of food/meds. I know you've had a grim time of it with your skin condition, so it's good to know you're feeling somewhat better.
Margaretclare - my best friend had a breast reduction op a few years ago. She had to lose weight in order to get one though. Part of the reason she needed the reduction was because of the effects yo-yo dieting had on her body. The reduction is a major op, and she was in a considerable amount of pain afterwards, unable to drive, and had to have 3 weeks off work, rather than the predicted 1 week. She didn't feel fully well for more than 3 months, so I don't think it's something you should enter into lightly. I think I'd rather have some good foundation garments myself. I've always tried to make sure I wear the correct size, and try on various sizes in different styles to find the right one. I agree that most people wear the wrong cup/back size. I'm a 36E, but hope that will be dropping along with other inches over the coming months.
I have my weigh in again tonight, but am convinced I've not lost anything this week. I just feel like I'm eating too much to do so. I'm enjoying the food regardless though. I've just discovered that the low-fat hot choc I was making for my son is about 5 syns though, so think that will have undermined his efforts. Hope his exercise has counteracted it.
Today I've made a yummy vegetable homemade soup, that the SW peeps refer to as dyno-rod soup. It should help act as a speed food for weightloss, I hope. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Margaretclare: Youre in the wrong size anyway, My mum is a size 18 and wears a 36 back... So to go on that theory you should be in a 36F. I would try a 38E first, UNLESS you have an abnormal back or something. That might be why you find theyre quite big because of your ill fitting bras.
I know you are a bra professional, but when I was at my smallest, a size 14, I was a 36 (B) but at a size 18 now, I wear 38B or 40B (or old 42B but a bit big!) . I think it must depend on height (as I am very tall or at least almost very tall !!!!)0
