Blah Snow!!!!!!
Sat watching twitter to see if the school were closed until 8:30 this morning along with listening to local news, eventually put little one in the car and tried to contact school by phone, when we eventually got through, school was closed to 1st, 2nd and 3rd years, so the others had to make their own way, even though there was no public transport running, how warped is that?!?!
Have to admire the posties in our office tho, all the mail went out, even though it was so bad that no public transport was running.
Went for an hour's kip after work and got up to more snow, car is buried again!!!! Oh well, think of the exercise I'm getting each time i clear it :rotfl:4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

Hi Victory, i think theres 26 snowmen in the sig left, that's 24 for december plus today and tomorrow in nov, so unless i miscounted then i think its ok? Have there been any developments with regards to that bullying mob that you work with?
i wish i had willpower like that!0 -
I take my hat off to all the posties & anyone who has to work in this weather.
No papers today.
Our schools closed today & tomorrow as well.
My car has not moved since Saturday & wont be moving anytime this week I think.

I know you are a bra professional, but when I was at my smallest, a size 14, I was a 36 (B) but at a size 18 now, I wear 38B or 40B (or old 42B but a bit big!) . I think it must depend on height (as I am very tall or at least almost very tall !!!!)
Well, I am not very tall, in fact not even quite 5 feet. That may be one of the problems. My bust looks too big for the rest of me, or at least I think it does.
Quote from a bra supplier, Amplebosom:
To check your bra size, you need to take 2 measurements:
1. Under the bust (this would be the rib-cage). Measure under your bust, adding 4" if the number obtained is an even number of inches, and 5" if it is an odd number.
2. Measure round the fullest part of the bust to determine cup size. If the bust measurement is the same as your bra size, cup size is A. 1" more gives cup size B, 2" more gives cup size C, 3" more gives cup size D, 4" more gives cup size DD...
I've just taken these measurements: rib cage 36" plus 4" = 40. Bust measurement 44", so according to this I should be 40DD.
At present I'm wearing 42D but it's gradually beginning to feel looser inside my bra. I'm more or less between sizes 16 and 18 - for some things I can wear 16 and for others, 16 is too tight (especially round the bust!) so I need 18.
Sarymclary, thanks for the info about your friend and her breast reduction. It confirms what DH says and thinks. He would raise the strongest possible objections if I was to go ahead with this, waste of £5K would be the mildest thing he'd say. I just hope I'll continue to lose weight and do it that way. But it's slooooow.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

See, thats the sorta crap that floats around on the internet. Im 24, thank god my breasts havent sagged yet. My mother is 63. Her breasts have sagged. If our breasts were the same size and i measured around the fullest part of mine and she measured the fullest part of hers the figure would be different. My mothers breasts have had the effects of two children, mine havent. So therefore our bra size would be totally different. Secondly a tape measure has no give, a bra does. The innacuracies of using a tape measure are huge. No point in using it, you cant meausre yourself. Even i cant measure myself...not properly...self doubt comes into it then.
Betty: Thats the sort of change of mindset women need. I wouldnt go into topshop, zara or warehouse and expect to be a size 12 across the board. Every shape is different and breasts are exactly the same. Breastfeeding does them over, periods, weight loss/gain ect. Minefield. Best to go to a good shop, get fitted and be prepared to never be one size, especially when youre bigger.
Ok im off, to the pub! im running late ha0 -
Woo hooo to BB!
Isn't it a long time since Vix explained about bra sizes? I wondered what had been missing ........ She's right, anyway.
Efrieze I just love the description 'almost very tall' . Can I be nearly almost very tall? I'm 5' 2". Or am I almost very short?
Huge sympathy to all the snowy peeps. None here in tropical NW London yet thank goodness.
Puds - I knew you were a man. I was just kidding.0 -
Vix I hate that effect!!! I go buy strappy tops in my size and I have to bloody adjust them all because i dare not to have saggy boobs! So to get the width of the tops I need to have them exposing me until i bring them home and adjust them. Btw my mother is 76, had 4 kids and still has great boobs, rest has gone to pot but the boobs are still good. And me at focoughrty, I still think i have great boobs, and they don't sag! So I wish the manufacturers would take that into consideration when they make strappy tops!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
