I also try to drink more water, simply because I often find myself 'hungry' when i'm actually thirsty!
I find a pint of tesco no added sugar mexican lime squash does the trick! :D (Also good mixed with soda water - you can kid yourself there's vodka in it!):p

Didnt make it to the gym again today but i'm not beating myself up as i still have a stinking cold and I couldnt move this morning due to a massive headache that i've had since wedenesday night.:(
Hopefully i'll feel better by the weekend - got xmas shopping to do!

Weighed myself again today - I was right about the STS. Really trying not to panic about how close xmas is and focusing on how mcuh I can lose in 5 weeks if I really try.
Even 5lb would be brilliant as I am the kind of shape where it will show!

I dont want to spend another year 'trying' to lose weight

    EDIT:
I am back on Foodfocus.co.uk - I know cal counting works so I'm going to try my best
I have entered all my meals for today, and all the ingredients for my dinner, and it's come to less than 1200. Including 2 glasses of wine!! I have seriously lost the ability to judge what is ok or not! No wonder my OH is so skinny!! Lol

Victory... i cant believe that nobody asked how you were when you went back to work. is it like one big gang and you're not in it , or is it just the boss that doesnt like you and the other staff just dont want to get on the wrong side of the boss themselves? Grrr hearing stuff like that makes me want to bang heads together. Call themselves professionals!

It is a bit of everything, the supervisor would go as far as to say she hates me because I have been to the boss re not been given any over-time and everyone else had been and boss realised that he should have been given some so supervisor feels strongly I am a trouble maker, stirrer, trying to undermine her, etc but that is not the case, boss is being professional, supervisor is being hurt, sloppy in her work and being picked up for it and she hates me for it.

Not one of them would stand up for me, say something, contradict etc for fear of their jobs, they all say to me OMG enough telling off already, enough of you being spoken to like that etc but that is in private never when it happens to me whilst they all listen they go about their business as if it is not happening:D

Just watched children in need where they put some of the characters of corrie in eastenders and vice versa. It was quite amusing, it reminded me of the north/south thing we have going on!

    Morning All,

Another rough night with my poor little teething baby. he ended up in our bed at 12.30 as it was the only way I could settle him and get some sleep myself!! Then my toddler woke up at 4.30 and has refused to go back to sleep. Just don't think I'm meant to get sleep anymore!!

Today is going to be a good day, but a bad one for the weight! Am having our housewarming party tonight (if I can stay awake for it!). I have purposefully not done much in the way of food, just a few crisps, pretzels and nuts to snack on. But I'm sure there will be plenty of alcohol consumed! Am just glad my boys are spending the night at their Grandmas so I know I will get a lie in tomorrow morning.

Exercise will be easy today, have to take the boys to my Mums, which will be a good 40 mins of walking. Also will be doing loads of housework, vigorous scrubing, dusting and hoovering should make up for some of the alcohol I will drink tonight!

Well, I better go make a start on the housework before my baby boy wakes up.

    Have a good weekend all,

    Flis xx

Out of the whole night i only put bbc1 on for less than 5 minutes.. but it just happened to be the bit that you are talking about. I saw them squabbling on coronation st about wether to wear traditional indian dress or not... hayley having a firm handshake (which was funny) then two people behind the bar in eastenders both wearing leopard print dresses... by that point I couldnt bare to see any more of it and returned to sticking hot needles into my eyeballs, as a more enjopyable alternative :-) How has a tv show as awful as coronation st managed to last for so many years. It is stomach churningly bad!
[churningly - think ive just created a new word?]

ps. Vixarooni... I believe congratulations are in order on the job front?

    - Are you just hanging in at work now until you have to leave? Have you looked around for any alternative jobs, because now is the hiring time for Xmas, and there's always a chance of being kept on afterwards. I got my job at M&S when I was a student that way. My step-son is just about to start a temp. role working in an Amazon packing dept., but the pay is very good, so he's prepared to risk a temp. role for it. I just think that sometimes we have to be the one to bite the bullet, and make positive changes for ourselves. I know it's not easily done, but if I were in your shoes, I think that's what I'd set about trying to do.
As for child benefit, if your son is in f/t education, you will receive that until he turns 19 (or starts work/leaves school). Tax credits are eligible for all families, who have an income below a set threshold of £58,000 can claim.
Here's a link to a govt. site that tells you what you might be entitled to as a family: http://taxcredits.hmrc.gov.uk/Qualify/DIQHousehold.aspx
here's a link to a document that tells you all about the tax credits: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/leaflets/wtc2.pdf

Child Benefit is completely separate and very different from Child Tax Credit, and Working Tax Credit. If you qualify for Child or Working Tax Credit, you also continue to get your Child Benefit. If your eldest is under 18, he should automatically still be getting it anyway, if not, you need to contact the Child Benefit Office. My eldest is 19 next birthday, and I will stop getting CH.Ben for him next year.

Did your eldest apply for Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA)? If you have a household income under about £30k then he could get either £30/£20/£10, depending upon how much the family has coming in.
Most government calculations are done on the previous full financial year, but in our case, I wrote a letter with the application for EMA for my 16 y/o, because my OH had lost his job, but our last tax year included 6 months of him earning a wage, so we wouldn't have qualified, but now of course we are totally skint. We were lucky to get a favourable result, and he is now eligible for £30 a week to cover the expenses of going to college.
If you're unsure of what you might be entitled to as a family, then go over onto the Forums of MSE relating to Tax Credits to find out more. If you stop working, and your OH earns under a certain amount, then Tax Credits may well top up your income to cover the loss of your earnings anyway. It may well be a better alternative, and keep your sanity! Don't see claiming for Tax Credits as anything to be embarrassed about either, my sister works in a middle management position at the local council, her husband drives a lorry, and they claim, despite earning a comfortable joint wage. If you're entitled, then claim, and don't have your family going without. There's nothing to be gained by that.

Flis - I do have so much sympathy for you and your lack of sleep. My eldest son was the worst sleeper ever, he would never stay in his cot, or bed, and I think I went over 10 years without a full night's sleep with the 4 of mine (my fault for having more I know). I hope you thoroughly enjoy your housewarming party (congratulations on the new home), and don't worry about your diet plan for one night, you're entitled to a treat, and Day 1 starts again tomorrow.

Vixarooni - congratulations on the new job!

Granny, Hezza, Missy & Bails - are you having the occasional mooch on here still? If so HELLO! I miss your posts, but hope that you're all doing OK. Clearly you're having far too much Real Life to contribute.

My life on Slimming World is still staying on track, and it's fairly easy to do I'm relieved to say. I certainly feel much healthier for eating all this healthy stuff. I've re-joined the gym, and have been twice already, although I was absolutely gutted to see how much of my fitness has gone, and how fast too. I don't just want to fat-burn though, I know by going it will improve my shape anyway, but I want to improve my stamina and fitness, as well as increasing my strength, particularly upper body, so it's trying to combine all those elements in my workouts. Whatever I do, I'm blinking kernackered at the end of them, and a dashing shade of puce to go with it. Hopefully it will all help. I've just sat down for my lovely big cooked lunch of bacon & eggs, and my BF says he'll be amazed if this diet actually works, given what I'm eating. I do hope it does, but regardless, I am loving the food.

    Food plan for today is:
B - Melon, pineapple, strawberries & mango with peach Activia snackpot (yummers)
L - Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans
D - Sweet & Sour chicken with noodles & stir fry veggies

With virtually no syns in that lot, I have the equivalent of about 3 kitkats still to play with for treats if I want. I am so full on my meals that I'm not really needing to snack or have treats, but it's nice to know I could if I wanted to. As weeks go by I will have a weekly treat built into my plan, so I can relax as and when I feel the need. I'm happy to stick with it until Christmas for now.

No gym again until Monday now, so the weekend off that. The weather is just too cold, damp and dank to tempt me outside right now.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Thanks for asking Sary .... Still mooching but not in the right frame of mind to either monitor eating or to contribute on here in a positive way. Work is pants, DD is going through a very sad post-separation phase and I'm thoroughly fed up with everything. And at the same time I realise that I'm a very lucky person with lots to be thankful for .... insert confused smiley ... so I'll carry on mooching but stay quiet. xxx
