My eventual target is to have a healthy BMI - which I think is about 10st 10lbs for my height. But am setting lots of little ones along the way. My next target is to have lost a stone (only 2lbs to go!!) and to get into the '14 stone' bracket. I also have a dress that is a size too small for me that I want to wear to a Christmas party on the 18th Dec, so am using that as a bit of inspiration as well!

I've had my 1st weigh in now, and was amazed to have lost 6lb this week. I do think some of the weight was my shoes though, as I took them off this week, but I'm still declaring the 6! :rotfl: Oh and get this, best of all my son has lost 5.5lb! He also took his shoes off, but in our defence, everyone else was doing it, so we thought it was the rule.:o

That is absolutely fantastic, even more fantastic for your son absolutely brilliant:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:D

    some great losses coming in

    go team :j:j:j:j:j
  • Flis:T:T Definitely no shouting at you:D. You clearly have a sensible head on your shoulders, and 'all' you have done is eat less junk, more veg, watched your portions and upped the exercise. Nothing drastic and look at the result:D. And I like the fact you know it could take a few weeks to lose the next 2 lbs now. Big big well done.

Wow Sary:D:D:D And I bet you feel like you have eaten well? I always took my shoes off to weigh in at SW. It's mad to include your shoes in your weight. So chuffed for your son too: it's great that he can see he has eaten healthy and well and can still lose.
Good luck with the gym - I'm sure you will make good use of it.

And efrieze - quietly getting on with it and nearly 50lbs lost!

Well done Marion and neiler - those 1/2 and 1lbs are just as important.

Ooh - just realised I am nearly overweight (bmi-wise) - just another few lbs to go.

    What are all your targets???
I'll formally post my weigh in tomorrow - but I now only have to lose 8lbs to be in the healthy bmi range for my height. Really happy about this. I'll just keep doing what i'm doing though and see where it gets me. I am still not 'dieting' IYSWIM, it's just a by product of trying to get better.

Mazza what are your plans for the big four-oh?
Puds - you sounds like a nice landlord:D.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I was thinking the same thing actually. I haven't been SOTW or SOTM at all since I (re)joined but slowly slowly each 1/2 lb and 1lb adds up, as you say to Marion and neiler, and for you too.

Right - goals for today. Am doing 20 mins of walking, so min of 10 mins on wii fit. 5 portions of fruit and veg. New goal - up my water intake. Am going to aim for 8 large glasses of water a day. Have put a little chart up in my kitchen so I can keep track.

I feel so positive today and really happy. This is the first time I've lost weight by myself without going on a crazy diet!!
Flis what can I say? 12lbs is fantastic. Really pleased that you are managing to do it through a sensible healthy diet plan too.
Realistic goals are important - and the chart, thats a great idea too... it will hopefully serve help to keep you focussed on the plan. Dont hide it away inside a cupboard, it needs to be soemwhere you can see it often so it will help keep you on track... wow 12lbs!

My target is to get to 25st by Christmas, thats about a stone and a half-ish away, so theres plenty of work still needing to be done. No quality street this year thanks :-)
