Congratulations AllIWantToSave - that must be a truly fantastic feeling. Are you being weighed at your drs then? I think my drs offer something like that, but I'm a bit scared of a very stern matronly like nurse telling me off!!

I completely failed on the exercise front yesterday, weather was horrid so we didn't go to playgroup, so I didn't get my walk. Had my sister come round so never managed the wii fit either. But I did do 6 portions of fruit and veg and didn't have any bread.

So goals for today - 30 mins on wii fit and have my 5 portions of fruit and veg. Am doing really well on the 5 portions, once I have the exercise bit sorted as well I will start on drinking extra water. Am trying to change things one at a time so they become good habits!

Really want to jump on the scales, but am resisting at the mo, my housewarming is a week tomorrow and my first goal is to lose 4lbs by then. Fingers crossed!!

Good luck all, have a fab day,

    Flis xx

Now , the moment off truth- I lost the whooping zilt:(
    I was 10stone and 6.8 now I am 10stone and 6.2:(

I don't think Southerners would want me in their winning team now Puddings.;)

I know I am doing this wrong. I know I need to eat regular meals. I know I need to eat less portions when I get so tired or hungry.

Ok- this week will be better- starting right now!
    Don't forget smiling :):):)

  • Thanks for that. To lose weight just cut your portions down and replace chocolate or crisps with fruit and do more walking... And I recommend skinny water. Skinnywater.co.uk will probably tell you more about it but it's just water (and you can buy it in cranberry flavour) that makes you hungry less, and helps you burn more calories.

I went on the special K diet where I ate special K for breakfast and dinner, and had a sandwich imbetween and a couple of bananas or something and drank a lot of skinny water and it really helped! I lost a lot of weight, a couple of stone in a short space of time and people were actually telling me I looked a little too thin, so from there it wasn't hard to get to my perfect weight. Although it's a pound a bottle it is really good. :)

You shouldn't put too much pressure on your diet, I tried slimfast and atkins, and it didn't seem to work.. I didn't stop eating anything in the end, I just cut down. - I suggest a bigger breakfast, medium lunch and small dinner and if you want to lose weight very quick then use skinny water and special K.. But stick to it. :)

Don't put yourself down, wanttobefree! You lost more than half a pound. If you juststick to that you'll be more than 26lbs lighter by the end of the year. Well done you!!

I call bullpoo on the skinny water

if you want to take those supplements (and some body builders do) you can buy them in much higher doses and much cheaper

the special K diet controls calories well but it is very high in carbs, not ideal for people who suffer from carb cravings especially in the long term

the large meal in the morning / small meal at night is a bit of a myth, it comes down to cals in and cals out at the end of the day, but high levels of simple carbs at night does disrupt the bodys natural hormones

regardless gratz on loosing the weight :T:T:T

a loss is a loss, your going in the right direction, especially as you are quite small, thats like me loosing 1.5lbs

half a pound of fat placed on a scale is quite a size

    :T:T:T

heres a lb of body fat, half that is about the size on my fist ...
