want to be free - you are hungry because you are not eating enough in my opinion. A salad lunch and soup dinner is not substantial enough especially in this autumnal weather. Food is not the enemy, you NEED fuel to fuction efficiently. The less you eat the more your body will hang on to fat.
Are you calorie counting, if so, how many calories are you allowing yourself?
Beanie - not so good hun: legs swellling and body red raw & burning just about sums it up. Still, on the bright side...oh hang on, off to try harder to find one, lol.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

BB is correct, you have to eat to loose weight or you risk going into starvation mode, you should be on at least 1200 cals a day, maybe more if your training a lot.
If you can try to eat a small meal every 3-4 hours and make sure there is some lean protein in it, this should keep your metabolism working. I am currently eating 1700-1800 cals a day (and I am pretty big) and I am rarely hungry and never starving.
We use natures valley bars as a snack, OH keeps some in her bag and has half in the morning and half in the evening, there pretty low GI, the almond ones are the lowest sugar

want to be free!!--i use a site called myfitnesspal to keep a log of my exercise and diet-it gives you a recommended callorie allowance for your age and exercise level etc--you must be careful with the site's callorie counted food because they are input by the users and can be quite 'off'--i study what i eat and input my own values--a lot of the portion sizes are American -and what they call a cup is anyones guess!!--try it- its free and can become quite absorbing!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

73.4 kg today. So, it is working.
That converts to 11 stone 7 1/2 pounds.
I am aiming to get to 11 stone or below by the last day of this year. I can now see that it is do-able. With exercise 3 days a week, half-hour private swimming lesson Tuesday and Friday then aqua-aerobics, an hour on Monday. I need 1100 calories a day on the days I don't exercise, I think the slow loss and STS all those weeks was because I was eating too much. Was advised by the senior nurse practitioner at the surgery to eat 1200 a day and I think this was too much - experience tells!

i have come to the conclussion that i maintain my weight on 1200 cals with no exercise and to lose anything i have to do exercise and eat my 1200--i am 5ft 9 and my bmi is 23,3--and male---this affects the callorie allowance i think!--myfitnesspal assesses your metabolism rate---it goes down as you get lighter -i started about 1700 and have gone down to 1567 since i lost my excess weight--i have just looked at my diary from when i started my diet and i have lost 13 kgs in 10 months(7 months of exercise involved) so it has been a reasonable rate of loss--mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

Morning all,
Hope you are all well today. Thanks for the lovely welcome. I am feeling very positive. Had a good day yesterday. Managed 4 portions of fruit and veg (which is better than the 1 a day I was having before!), made myself a pasta with fresh tomato sauce for lunch, which both my ds's ate as well (amazing!). Only managed 7 minutes on the wii fit tho, as ds1 woke up from his nap and screamed the house down!! Although I did do a 15 min walk as well.
I won't post a weight today as I only started yesterday, don't want to jump on the scales every 2 mins!!
Aims for today - try to get to 5 portions of fruit and veg and try to do 15 mins on the wii fit - combined with the 15 minutes walk to toddler group that will give me 30 mins exercise today.
Did my food shop yesterday. Have swapped to 1% fat milk, i can't believe it's not butter light and sweetner instead of sugar. Forgot about the yogurts, but in next weeks shop I will get low fat ones. Didn't buy any crisps or biscuits and got lots of extra fruit and veg.
Am feeling really upbeat about this, I also want to be showing my boys how to live a healthy lifestyle as I don't want them turning out like me, so that is a big incentive too!
Have a good day all,

You might find that WeightLossResources is helpful: www.weightlossresources.co.uk
I know about PND, I've had that, not nice but it can be overcome.
Thanks for the link, it looks really good. Will try and have a better look at it later (when DS's asleep!) and decide whether to sign up. Cheaper than ww or sw at least!! Are you using it? Do you find it helpful?
Thanks,
Flis
