Hi Princess - i dont know why everybody else has ignored you today! im sure its an oversight rather than something personal - or do they know something i dont know!!??;)
Anyway, welcome to the weight loss gang :-)
If you've already shifted 19kg with only 13kg to go then youre already doing really well. How long has it taken to get rid of the 19kg?
There are people on here doing slimming world, some doing weight watchers and some just doing it the traditional way. Whatever your plan, theres help and support here whenever you need it.
What sort of exercise do you tend to do?

Haha, yeh must be the sweat. ;) & thanks for the welcome x

Erm, it took about 3 months or so to lose the first 12kg. That was back in the summer of 2009 so from about may-end of july. My eating became terrible in august. (I was fasting as it was Ramadhan), so ended up not calorie counting like i used to the months before, so i ended up losing most of my momentum. So when fasting finished, i just used to exercise as and when i felt like it, and even though my intentions were good, i could never get back into the same habit as before, so i was always in a constant sort of 2lbs gain one week, then a 2lbs loss the other, then STS the other and so on. I restarted in about mid october 2010 and since then have managed to shift the other 7kg. I calorie count, and stick to 1000 calories per day or just above. I haven't touched white bread, white pasta or white rice since october (well white rice only about 3 times and white pasta once but haven't touched white bread at all not even when there isn't any brown bread). And whereas before i used to allow myself to have chips, i haven't touched a single chip or potato products since october or fried food, also haven't touched things like crisps, doughnuts or just any other unhealthy snack, though i do have a little piece of chocolate everyday. I was never addicted to chocolate though, so not something i need to have, just keeps me away from those bad carbs. :p Some weeks i tend to only have a 1lb loss, but any loss is good to me. I'm more interested in my size than what the scales say, they're just there as motivation really. These past 2 weeks have been rather bad though in terms of exercise. Still had 1lb losses those weeks, but felt as if i could have lost more. So here for support and motivation which im sure you guys can give me. :)

I usually do P90x and Insanity workouts. I first started off with the treadmill (that's how i shifted the first 12kg), then i did jillian michaels, but that got too easy. So i started Insanity, and put a little of P90x into it. I only do the cardio bits of Insanity (I can't do push ups lol) and P90x i only ever do either the Legs & Back workout or the Plyometrics (which is a killer). I'm currently on an exercise every day in january challenge. I started on the 3rd and it was supposed to be a minimum of 30mins each day, but the winter blues must have caught up as I've only probs done about 5 sessions in total the past 2 weeks. I have exercised everyday, just i wouldn't classify them as 'workouts' as i didn't do the 30mins minimum. I've restarted today though and im gonna be strict for the rest of january. Feel really guilty for the missed minutes the past 2 weeks, but gonna try my hardest. I normally tend to exercise even with the winter blues, so really gutted at myself. Still, a new start and all that and hoping to make the best of it.

And that is my story and success so far.

I adore hogs pussing which is a west country 'delicacy'.
Words can't describe how utterly disgusting that sounds.

beanie im slightly alarmed that the part of that which you find most distressing is not the pigs blood and fat, not the batter or the deep frying, not the two slices of fried bread that theyre sandwiched between.... but the mustard!
Suppose its only like someone complaining that the ketchup sachet in a pot noodle isnt organic ketchup!

hahahahaha!! It looks like battered !!!!! You northerners don't care what goes in your mouth do you :p

I've slipped a bit today and gone over my calorie limit, on the wrong things too.

However, I said I would relax it a bit on a Friday - tomorrow is another day. I wish someone would come and eat my chocolate biscuits to stop me doing it. I'm not buying the wrong things in, I just have things left over from Christmas!

I agree with Eric, choc biscuits lying around is far too tempting, bin them, give them away, do not buy them in, get rid any which way:D

please dont tell me that you ask for "a turkey & ham, but without the ham!" Have you tried asking for a turkey sub instead!:p
    ----
Subway also do salads on a plate which are pretty good too so long as you can sit down somewhere to eat it. Obviously you dont get bread that way, but you do get about twice as much salad instead.
I always get either chicken or turkey: if i get it on bread then no cheese, but on a plate then I ask for grated cheese on the top (surely that's only fair!)

Beware the "lite mayo" its sounds low calorie but it's one of the higest cal dressings that they sell! The two lowest calorie dressings that they do are Sweet Onion or the Honey Mustard.

I guess you are both right. I worry that when I have visitors there is nothing to give them

I have a Christmas cake not yet started - but I'm alright with things not started/opened for some reason. Don't feel I can give away my cake as my daughter baked it for me, and she also bought me a box of chocolates (I wonder if she doesn't want me to lose weight) I have crisps too but have limited myself to one packet a week

My house guest moves out next week, but he's started to eat healthily too but was always asking for if I had any cake in the house.

Only when in pain dear, only when in pain.

Kneecap popped back into place last night, so got a great amount of relief, enough so that I'm off the heavy painkillers. They knock me flat on my !!!!!! So much so that i had a 2 hr afternoon nap yesterday and then slept for 13 hours last night. At least I can't eat when I'm sleeping eh :rotfl: Now heading back to bed for a nap that's not drug fuelled :)
