  • vix hit the gym and get it over and done with. Thats my plan for tomorrow.

Today has been great, got nothing done housework wise other than my dishes but had one of my best workouts at the gym.

Couch to 5 k week 5 run 3 plus 40 mins cross trainer, 10 bike , 10 eclipt then 20 mins stairmaster, 20 mins rowing, 4 sets of 15 reps - shoulder press, low row, 50 sit ups 50 pressups and 10 planks at 30 secs a pop. Never sweated so much - or ached so much.

Whats the strength to weight ratio? Seems right up my alley.

Well it's as straight-forward as it sounds, if you can't do twenty pull-ups or you struggle to do them, your weight is too high in relation to your strength. It's not particularly scientific but it's a high quick way of testing which direction you are heading in.

lolly: Good challenge doing the 1000 calories burn everyday, how long would that take???? I hate the cross trainer, but it does reward me with a high rate of calorie lossage!! I don't often do the bike at the gym, and if i do its a quick 5-10 mins only.

It varies, but it usually takes around 2 hours! I tend to do a bit first thing, then when I can through the day. I then do 30-40 mins in the evening - which makes me feel like I'm actually getting a workout, as it's quite easy otherwise!

You should go for it, as doing it bit by bit means that it's not that challenging.

Well I burned 489 on the wii earlier, which was mainly jogging. I'm starving now and have just decided what to eat - Carrot and coriander soup. This comes in at 270 cals, bringing my total food cals to 2131. I ended up doing 1100 cals on the bike (too busy watching TV!) so 2131 - 1589 = 542!!! Bloomin' hell, no wonder I'm starving!

That's me done for the night. I think I'll take things a little easier tomorrow!

Right thats not up my alley at all :rotfl:haha.

Ok it might be, i do the rowing machine for 10 mins on the highest level it goes to, thats gotta be good!! (i do think im a bit of a james cracknell on that though!)

There is no way in hell i could do 20 pull ups, i think (if i ever tried it) i would manage 5. Its funny, i always tell everyone at work how strong i am, when im probably the weakest person in my dept.

Ok i know for a fact the gym is on the cards because my friends coming with. I shall go about half 10...thats the standard time! I shall try a bit harder tomorrow. You have impressive figures at the gym Neilersmc!! I normally do a 30 mins treadmill with a 10 min cross trainer, 10 min rowing machine with a 5-10 bike. Followed by doing thigh weights and arm weights 10 reps, followed by 10 more. Or i will start off with crosstrainer, because i find that too hard going if i start with treadmil first. Wimp!!

It would be made so much easier if i didnt care soo much about getting out of breath!!! Still, i push 180 HR which is in my cardio range so i suppose thats the main thing.

its the first step in you taking control back of your life, unfortunatly you have to be beligerant about some things.

when you get your relationship with food back under control you will be able to have "temptations" in the house and pretty much ignore them. Some one gave me 4 ferrero roche over crimbo and that sat on my table next to my coffee for 3 days, I ate them as carb fuel before a gym session.

72.4 kg this morning, which converts to 11 st 5.6 lbs.

That's the lowest I've been in years, and years, and years...

We were out Friday evening to dinner and entertainment at the Old Vienna Restaurant. Wonderful evening, lovely meal, a lot of work groups having a late Christmas 'office do'. Everyone was friendly and lively, all joined in the singing of 'Sound of Music' type songs, and they all congratulated us on our 9th wedding anniversary.

Going to the church Family Day today, service followed by lunch, I'm told it will be shepherd's pie and then there's a sugar-free whipped-up jelly for any of us who don't want the trifle.
