Ted: Bet youre glad you posted that
Heres my view: Ok you may and probably do have issues (outside of the peado stalker ones) and yea you need to overcome them, but the surgery could act as a catalyst for that? Overall better fittness and being thinner allowing you to do more ect. Thats my view, i try to be positive!

Ugh I hate the plank.
In all the exercise classes I used to go to before I moved they used to make us do that and then do it sideways and lift one leg up - I was wobbling all over the place and always ended up in a heap on the floor.
I have no 'core muscles' I swear my insides are like jelly!!
The exercise I hate most is leg lifts. Lie on back straight legs toes pointed. raise legs 6" off ground then raise to 45 degrees hold for ten then down to 6" again. Total torture and I'm sure bad for your back. The ex pro boxer that trained us when I used to go to boxing made us do them.0 -
I've done the plank a few times. I hated it! Pilates is really hard, i loved the results but not during the process!! I prefer the weights in the gym!0

finally watching the BL UK i recorded. Strange show but interesting. dont like the x factor style sob stories tho
also dont like the 'sponsored by biggest loser meal replacement shakes' - seems a bit hypocritical when they've got them in the gym but then advertising diet shakesBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

yeh i am fast forwarding through those sob story bits! lol
the blonde gym instructor is annoying! if i was there i wouldn't be able to handle her shouting at me.
also - HOW did those blokes lose 1 stone in a week! that's flipping mental!
Weird how that 1 guy was upset at losing 'only' 8lb - that's what a baby weighs! It's a LOT to lose!!
this show gives people a weird concept of weight i think, maybe it's cos they are dealing with such large numbers it makes them lose some perspective.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Call me what you will but I have just spent the last 25 minutes on the phone to Virgin trying to sort a problem with an indian lady that I was barely able to understand one single word she said, that is my absolute bug bear, I am irrritated and frustrated already with the loss of virgin not working only to get a lady who I am sure is lovely but she cannot make herself understood with the very little English that she speaks and to think my eldest can't get a job:eek:
I always fast forward BL and used to the Lorraine Kelly show, all these shows are seen in 20 mins and panned out to an hour.
They loose that much because they are larger than average, they have not eaten healthily or exercised in a long time and the first week is fluids and a massive shock to their systems, detox big time, did one not loose 34lb ones on one of the shows? 34 lb:eek: it slows down massively as the weeks go by and some gain and some loose 1lb and fall to the floor is despair, that is when their will power goes haywire and they loose hope and faith, the first two weeks are the easiest in loss it is whether they can keep it up and don't keep making up ankle injuries or sprained wrists to get out of exercising as they do al lthe time.:D
I love and watch all of them but was so disappointed when I went on the BL website for their catch ups and so and so had gained all his weight and so and so no longer exercises and so and so gave up, all that money and expertise thrown at them and that is what they do, oh for someone to boot camp me, I hope I would not turn it down and make it life long not just for the show;)0 -
It is all aobut the sob stories, the USA one and australian it is all the same, tears in abundance:D
the auzzie one is more like a soap with there being 60-70 episodes per series (its on every night, S06 starts feb)
the US one is all about Jillian an Bob screaming at the victims, or as Jillian says BEATINGS !! :rotfl:

the weight loss on the uk one is unfortunately well pathetic, they dont have the science down at all, i lost 33lbs in 3 weeks at home whilst working and do sod all exercise
current record on US one is 41lbs in 1 week  about 1/3rd will be lost water and another third will be excess poop from overeating, but thats common for every one that starts a weight loss scheme
there BMRs are massive at the start so they get a huge calorie deficit boost from that, they are thou in a constant battle not to go into starvation mode which does hit them every now and then with the odd low loss although there getting better at getting the feeding days right to stop this now, and sometimes they water load0
