Many thanks, my friend will be really grateful. I will also suggest he sends a e-mail to Eric Daniels. Thank you again for all your support, and keep you updated.

Brilliant Sam, nice one!
I emailed lloyds last week, no reply, so called them yesterday and they said i should have the letter and refund within 3 weeks, so fingers crossed that'll be the case. They can't have what you haven't got can they? tell them that and if they say otherwise pretend to be an owl or something.0 -
I lodged a complaint with LTSB on September 21st. I received a letter from them September 28th saying the usual they'd get back to me within 8 weeks or to refer to FOS. I rang them several times during October and each time I was told that my complaint had been upheld and that they had sent out their Acceptance slips on 8th October. As I had not received the slips by the 18th October I rang again and they said they couldn't understand why I hadn't received the slips.....did I still live at the same address....answer yes. They said they would send another copy in the post. As I have still not received the slips in the post I rang LTSB "Customer Care" (the joke's in the name!) and they said that they had been told to stop sending out letters on the 8th October at 4pm and although my had been printed at 2.30 and I haven't received it it couldn't have been sent!. I've spoken to the FOS and they say they will look at after the 8 week period. Not only have I been missold Loan Protection, which has been admitted by LTSB but they now say I have to wait for the judicial review. Does anyone else have any experience of this??0

Seems like they are holding back complaints then that they themselves have actually upheld without the need for FOS. I would just give FOS all the information you have and let them deal with it now. It may be that something is done before by the FSA so fingers crossed for you.0

Just an update for everyone on the thread...I called LTSB this morning and they said that my Acceptance Slip has been added to the reprint run and the reprint run starts today! I've been given so many differing tales from the Customer Care Centre I'm not holding out too much hope and it seems like too much of a coincidence to me, but will wait and see. The lady I spoke to (Elena) said that she would anticipate I will get my Slip within the next week....fingers crossed. I also asked about a claim my husband is pursuing with LTSB where he had not been adivsed that an acceptance slip had been sent out before 8th October.....the lady said that all cases which had not been adjudicated before 8th October were on hold pending the judicial review. As stated before this is illegal and I'm told by the Ombudsman that they take a dim view of Lloyds position on this.....contact the FOS once your 8 week period is up if you've heard nothing from LTSB in the meanwhile.0 -
Please could advise best way forward.
I taken out a loan with lloyds in dec 2007, was told at the time that I had to have ppi and was not told it was optional. I was advised that I had to take the loan out over 5yrs. This was done over the phone and not in a branch. I'm now 36 months into the loan and just worked out that I have paid just under £2k in ppi. How can I go about claiming this back and also getting the remaining ppi cancelled. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help.0 -

Hi and welcome Emma
Lloyds all over!
Right you could try asking for the telephone conversation in writing - of the sale of the policy, they may provide them free of charge, or you could optionally request for a Subject Access Request (SAR), they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all the data they hold on you.
So for example if you bank with them, when you request a SAR, just provide your bank account details, they should provide copies of everything you have taken out with them.
You enclose £10 cheque or postal order within the SAR letter.
This should include details of any ppi etc.
SAR letter here:

But just as long as you have the account number details of the loan, you can still continue to make a reclaim with your reasons, by completing a reclaiming questionnaire, remember to keep copies of all you send and receive in case you need to refer to this at some point.
They do have 8 weeks to investigate, so if you hear nothing by then, move on to the financial ombudsman service (FOS), you also do this if your not happy with the final outcome of the complaint.

However, please be aware that new ppi reclaims are on hold until further notice, more details on this below, but do still continue to make the reclaim, don't let it hold you back.

Put a claim into Lloyds on 3rd Sept and won! However, they received my acceptance form on 4th Oct and guess what? They still haven't paid out £671.42 refund and we are currently on day 24! Really annoyed so I phoned them this morning, only to be told that 'DUE TO THE JUDICIAL REVIEW OF PPI MIS-SELLING, THERE IS NO TIME-FRAME FOR PAYING OUT PPI REFUNDS'. My response, are you saying that all refunds on decisions made before the judical review decision are on hold? Their response, 'WE THINK SO'!
Have now emailed Customer Care and Eric Daniels about it so let's see what is said!
