Lloyds PPI Refund

Put a claim into Lloyds on 3rd Sept and won! However, they received my acceptance form on 4th Oct and guess what? They still haven't paid out £671.42 refund and we are currently on day 24! Really annoyed so I phoned them this morning, only to be told that 'DUE TO THE JUDICIAL REVIEW OF PPI MIS-SELLING, THERE IS NO TIME-FRAME FOR PAYING OUT PPI REFUNDS'. My response, are you saying that all refunds on decisions made before the judical review decision are on hold? Their response, 'WE THINK SO'!
Have now emailed Customer Care and Eric Daniels about it so let's see what is said!

Good luck with this.
I would be inclined then to request for extra interest or a distress payment lol, its not fair, afterall they agreed before all this came about and it was also resolved.
You could contact the fos for some advice, see what they suggest, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Lloyds TSb are unreal. I claimed back PPI on a loan and was given an acceptance letter stating what i would receive - this i was satisfied with. I then got another letter stating that "as I had paid my loan up before the due date..blahblahblah (i had not paid it before the due date) and then the next paragraph said "we will be paying you out the interest on this PPI but the remaining refund will be offset against the amount owing" !!!! How could I possibly have paid it off and still owe. Fact is...... this loan is fully paid up. I got the interst refunded of some £700 but am still owed over £2000. I sent another letter with a copy of my letter from Lloyds confirming that this loan is FULLY PAID UP......... and have yet to hear from them - this was about 4 weeks ago? Problem here is this is in actual fact my husbands account and as he works out of the country I am left to deal with it and no one will speak to me on the phone as i am not the "account holder". Any ideas how i can get them to move on this? Thanks0

Thanks for the help di3004.
Just giving you an update, I rang the lloyds tsb today to put the claim in motion, I was actually on the phone no more than 5mins to be told my claim had been put forward and that not all claims are on hold due to the court ruling only certain cases (which I assume the cases they really don't want to pay out on, but are being made to). I was also today that lloyds have to contact me no later than 2weeks from the day of the claim. Is this a normal time scale or is it varying depending on your case and the reason the ppi was sold at? Would really appreciate it, if someone could let me know if they have had the same response.0 -

Hiya thanks for your update.
Glad they will be dealing with your case.
Even though they all have a right to 8 weeks, some will get back with an update from about that time they stated.
Hope it will be good news, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Update time! Emailed the address Di kindly gave me last week and after a few days heard back from a very helpfull young lady called Jemma. She said i would have a refund calculation within a week. Well a week was up today so i emailed her this morning and, to her credit, she came back to me within minutes apologising, and offered to call me any time i was free to discuss. I said she called call anytime, and the phone rang!!! Said she would personally send a letter off to me today, and also asked if i wanted her to confirm a figure over the phone, so i gritted my teeth and said yes..............................................
£2200!!!!!!!!! God knows where that figure has come from! I must have worked it out wrong because by my reckoning the most i was going to come out with was £1300!!
Anyway, she said it would be in my account within 4 days!!!! F*cking happy days i tell thee!! Of course, i wont be fully convinced until i see the money in my account, but its looking good :-)
My name is Matt, I'm a guy, so if you're a guy please don't try and flirt with me via pm!!!!!!!They can't have what you haven't got can they? tell them that and if they say otherwise pretend to be an owl or something.0
