I'm now at the stage where I find it all quite amusing otherwise I think I'd go completely mad with the lies they've been telling me for the past 8 weeks.. They are a complete shambles, its a bit like prodding a sleeping animal - they roar and then go back to their slumber! Either that or they tell you what they think you want to hear and hope it get you off their back for a few days!
Hi everyone, an update for you on my LTSB saga. I rang the Agent allocated to my case this morning and was told she wasn't in today and her supervisor was in a meeting.
Very surprised when 3 hours later I receive a call from said Agent returning my call as promised!!
The bottom line seems to be that LTSB are still assessing claims. I am told that my 8 week letter should arrive shortly but they are still considering my case. The Agent has asked for further information from my branch regarding the misselling and is waiting for this to arrive. She will respond to my claim as soon as she has all the information to hand.
I asked her if LTSB are sending out Acceptance Slips again..... to say she didn't give a clear answer would be an understatement. After much waffle it appears that they are sending out Acceptance Slips ( or so she says) but I'll believe that when I see it. I asked how long it will take to assess my claim 4 weeks, 4 months or 4 years, and she said she'd hope it wouldn't take that long. ME TOO!
Will update as and when I hear anything else.0 -
So what have the first 'team' been doing whilst you have been waiting all this time!! Totally disgraceful!
So what she's saying through all the lies is that your eight weeks are up and they are going to ask for more time due to them asking for more information from your branch? Surely this should have been done weeks ago!!!Liam :money::beer:0 -

Exactly......
Whats really irritating about this though is that I had originally been told that my claim had been upheld and an Acceptance Slip sent out 8th October. I was then told that all Acceptance Slips post 8th October weren't sent out and everything on hold. Although she admitted that the claim was upheld, she said procedures are changing all the time and therefore my claim is being reassessed.....bottom line being either a) they are looking to refute the claim which they had previously upheld (although I hadn't been advised of this in writing) or b) they are hoping I will go away if they drag their feet long enough.
Sadly for them i'm not going to let this drop that easily. No doubt updates will follow.0 -
Hiya
If you've not done so yet and been given the runaround by Lloyds, it "may" help if you email them and also copy (CC) it to the Chief Executive officer the same time (CEO).
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although not guaranteed they will get on with it immediately, but some have posted up that when they have done this, then things seems to be resolved, well more or less anyway.:D
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thanks for the advice. I did email the CEO a couple of weeks ago, and received a response from one of the Managers at Customer Care on 11/11 stating the following:
"Thank you for your recent communication forwarded to me from our Chief Executive Mr Eric Daniel's Office.
I am disappointed that your experience with the business idd not meet the igh standards we expect, as it is very important to Lloyds Banking Group, to ensure that our customers receive competent, helpful, and accurate advice throughout any dealings with us
Please may I offer you my sincere apologies for the conflicting information you have been given. The present situation is that Customer Care will continue to handle your complaint in accordance with FSA rules and as quickly and efficiently as we can. However, as you are aware, in OCtober 2010 the British Bankers Assocations (BBA) applied for a judicial review of the FSA and Financial Ombudsman sErvice's (FOS) approach to PPI sales related complaints.
Should our assessment of your complaint be impacted by the judicial review, we will process your complaint as far as we are able and we will let you know if there will be a delay as soon as possible. We will then keep your complaint on file and let you know of any significant developments. Once we have the clarity we need from the FSA and FOS to assess your complaint fully we will contact you as soon as possible to advise you how we will resolve your complaint.
We take all complaints very seriously and are committed to handling them on a fair and consistent basis and will continue to process PPI complaints as far as we can."
I am being told now by Customer Care that procedures are changing virtually on a daily basis, so whether the information supplied above still stands goodness only knows!0 -
Thanks for the help di3004.
Just giving you an update, I rang the lloyds tsb today to put the claim in motion, I was actually on the phone no more than 5mins to be told my claim had been put forward and that not all claims are on hold due to the court ruling only certain cases (which I assume the cases they really don't want to pay out on, but are being made to). I was also today that lloyds have to contact me no later than 2weeks from the day of the claim. Is this a normal time scale or is it varying depending on your case and the reason the ppi was sold at? Would really appreciate it, if someone could let me know if they have had the same response.
Hi All
Just need a bit of advice, basically my 8weeks were up 24th December. I rang lloyds 29th just to see if there could tell me anything. They said it was still being looked into. When I got home today I had a letter from them saying it was going to take a bit longer but not specifying a time scale. What is the best thing to do wait a few more weeks then chase them up or not give them any more time and just go FOS. I've read that people have waited a few weeks after the 8 weeks and then they claims being upheld. (I think their claims went in before this whole court ruling) my claim went in about a week after the court ruling came out.
I really want my money back but I'm not prepared to wait 1-2 years like some people have, by then my loan will be paid. Also what is the procedure of cancelling PPI while my claim is with the bank, can I still cancel and still have my claim in?
I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks0 -
Hi there, do not cancel the ppi, if you do the loan will be reset without ppi and the loan term will be extended and at a higher apr. Give lloyds another couple of weeks but keep chasing every couple of days.Hi All
