Update time! Emailed the address Di kindly gave me last week and after a few days heard back from a very helpfull young lady called Jemma. She said i would have a refund calculation within a week. Well a week was up today so i emailed her this morning and, to her credit, she came back to me within minutes apologising, and offered to call me any time i was free to discuss. I said she called call anytime, and the phone rang!!! Said she would personally send a letter off to me today, and also asked if i wanted her to confirm a figure over the phone, so i gritted my teeth and said yes..............................................

£2200!!!!!!!!! God knows where that figure has come from! I must have worked it out wrong because by my reckoning the most i was going to come out with was £1300!!

Anyway, she said it would be in my account within 4 days!!!! F*cking happy days i tell thee!! Of course, i wont be fully convinced until i see the money in my account, but its looking good :-)
:j That is good news :money: Well done:beer:

  • Final update on this! This morning £2254 was paid into my bank account!! :j After a year of letter writing and chasing phone calls it would be difficult to put into words what a good feeling that was when i checked my bank aco!!!! this morning. As of after lunchtime, after ive made a few phone calls, i will for the first time since i was about 19 be completely debt free because of this. It also means i will never ever ever have to speak to (un)Welcome Finance every again, because im going to be paying my loan off with some of the money. Im so happy right now!!!!!!!

Got to say a huge thanks to Di for her help with this since i started looking into it. A true hero of these boards i think everyone would agree! BIG kisses to you! :D

    Matt

What date did your PPI misselling claim relate to? I'm being told by Lloyds that if my claim is affected by the JR it will be put on hold. However they haven't told me whether my claim is affected by the JR so any info from successes would help me. Thanks
  • Hi there was wondering if anyone could give me a bit of advice?
I am currently trying to reclaim PPI with Bank of Scotland and they received my complaint on the 8th October!! Will it be put on hold cos of the review? I've phoned them and they say theres a backlog and awaiting guidelines from FSA but if not heard anything after 8 weeks I've to contact the fsa.

If this is to be put on hold, after 8 weeks take it to fos.
