Krystal, like Yakult?
No I haven't, if she doesn't go anywhere tomorrow I'll see if my mum will go to the shop for me and get some along with some live yoghurt.
I need to stock up on ice cream and bananas too as they were her foods of choice last time.
I'll chuck some milton over her dummies too.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Yeah like yakult.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You know sometimes I forget I've successfully reared a child thing with out the help of an internet forum... or in fact the internet as there was no such thing in those days!!
He is very much alive, has good health, in top sets for everything, doesn't smoke or drink or take drugs and if Daisypoos turns out to be anything like him I'll be a very proud mummy:D
....I bet now he comes home tomorrow !!!!!!, smelling of fags and with a letter from school saying he's been kicked out;):rotfl:BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Evening all,
Havent really been posting properly but catching up on bits and bats.
Gill: Hope T is just feeling a bit off and gets back to his normal self soon.
With regards to weaning, I started A around 17 weeks as she wasnt sleeping well at all. She did a lot of watching but then moved onto copying us chewing, finally she started with the uh uh uh uh before I thought have some of my dinner. She always sits with us when we eat though so not sure if that made a difference. MY fave moment so far is her ability to recognise a Cornetto! :O Blumming DH! Its funny though as I started with purees and meals, shes now shown she would prefer the BLW route. Ayana was also another who could raise her head from birth too Smartie.
Susan, I love you.Youre so organised and very clever.
Sorry youve got a poorly bub too MDW. Get better vibes.
Fingers crossed were not in for another seriously sleep deprived night!First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0 -
Just a quickie (oooer;))
Out of curiosity... at what age did you start giving food to your LO's??
Poor Daisy watches us with BIG eyes when we're eating. Makes me feel so guilty... especially when it's a box of chocs!!:rotfl:
DS was 16 wks - that was the recommended age then, then with dd1 they had changed the recommended age to 6 mths, although she was ready before then so I weaned her at 20/21weeks. I will wean E when I think she's ready.
E had the teeniest taste of a chocolate chip the other day (at 10 wks old ) - I had chocolate on my finger and she licked it off.
Roads and paths are dreadful here - so icy. I still can't get the pram out so had to use the sling to do the school run, I was terrified of slipping and hurting E.
MDW - hope lo is feeling better soon.
CAFC - That's a lovely thing to do - made me all teary reading it. Its so cold at the moment and I really feel for those without a home, it was -8 here earlier.0 -
Smartie - I'm a planner too, I had Katie's christening planned (in my head) before she was even born. I've also known which primary school I would prefer her to attend.
Weaning is such a minefield isn't it? Before properly weaning Katie I would let her suck the juice out of fruit from about 20 weeks, she loved grapes, apples and strawberries, I used to get some looks at my bf group. I got to 25 weeks before weaning when she grabbed a bread stick out of my hand and started munching on it! I got away with purees for 2 months before she decided self feeding was the way to go - apparently Christmas Dinner is good finger food!
I read your post and thought that's exactly like Katie was and she was just learning how the eating thing worked, does she copy the movements your mouth makes, I found that very cute.
Daisy will be ready when she's ready, if it's earlier than "they" say so what it what she needs.Proud to be dealing with my debts

my neck and shoulder hurts, i must have slept funny last night, either that or the freezing air has done something to it lol!!
oh and a playgroup i go to theres a gran that takes her granddaughter, she was saying how when she had babies she weaned them at 4 weeks!!! crazy.. they're so teeny tiny at a month old!! and she was saying they only had 1 spoon a day, i thought really whats the point.. but things were different back then i suppose! i weaned ds at 4month ish, but he was and is a nightmare with food and didnt eat much 'proper' food for ages, dd was happy with milk till 6 month ish, couldnt ask for a better eater with her, doesnt turn her nose up at anything.0 -
