I didn't actually say Daisy maybe ready/we're considering weaning... I just said she likes to watch with "thats not fair" eyes.

See... no wonder people don't like to post here when people jump to the conclusion that I'm feeding Daisy chocolate/food/taking her to McD'S for burger and chips.

Nowhere in post did I state I was thinking about weaning.

I just like to be super organised and have a date in mind to think about introducing solids.
According to the last infant feeding survey, 10% of people had already started weaning by Daisy's age and a further 40% did in the next month. I can understand why you are upset that people have assumed you must be considering it (and I probably would be too even though I have to confess I made the same assumption) but it is actually fairly common for people to do so. I'm a planner too - I had already made lists of what food I needed to buy by three months and then bought and made loads of puree cubes by five months. And then I did BLW at seven months so used the puree cubes in soups instead.

10% by 3 months??? (she's 3 months tomorrow:D:D:D) I want to enjoy my xmas dinner without having to worry about sharing my food!;)

Although I do think she won't make it until the 6 month mark. She's supported her head from birth and is able to sit up for a short amount of time.... and walks to the kitchen, opens the cupboards and finds the secret chocolate stash!!;):D:p

Delain, I think a few people have a problem with the number taker lol...

CAFC, Could you tie a bumper along the one side to stop his feet going through? Is the cot against the wall? Maybe you could put him down at the opposite end so when he shuffles his feet end up on the wall side so don't got through the bars...

It is along a wall but because of the skirting board its not right up against it iyswim

Its got two cot bumpers on, along top and bottom and around the sides, and theres about a 3 inch gap along the sides which arent covered, but he still manages to end up right at the top, sideways on his front with his feet pushing the cot bumper through the slats LOL Little fidget....and he's in a sleeping bag...

Better be off I need to cook dinner, Im well hungry today, must be the snow walking....

And we're set for even more according to the weather....suggest if anyone can get out to get some stocks in, then do it! Glad we stocked up the freezer yesterday...

Blame the baby, I like it :rotfl:

Squeak is interested when we eat too :D There's only 2 weeks between Squeak and Daisy (I remember because you used my due date!)

All my others were started at 4 months because it was the done thing at the time. I won't be doing it this time though OH seems keen :o

I think you've got a good head on your shoulders Smartie and you'll know when the time is right for Daisy, even if she does guilt trip you with big eyes :D

That was from the 2005 infant feeding survey and it had gone down significantly since the previous one so it's possibly less now. In 1990 almost 70% had started by three months. They do the survey every five years but it takes about three years before the full results come out so this year's results won't be around for a while.

What the quiz with added whizz? Nope, never seen it :rotfl:

I find the Numbertaker in Numberjacks quite sinister.

I quoted this to say that the Numbertaker had been mentioned on here before, but I see Krystal beat me to it. He is a very dodgy chap!

It's funny because all this weaning talk seems like a lifetime ago, even though it's not. I just give Henry whatever we're having these days (without salt). I know I've said this before but I am pretty laid back about how much he eats since I assume he is like me and some days he has hungry days, and some days less hungry days.

I hope Finn feels better soon, Aless. We've had a few very grumpy nights, but he seems fine in the day. I blame teeth, but then I blame them for everything :rotfl:.

That was a nice thing to do CAFC.

If I'm doing food mystery shopping visits and I don't want the food, I've given it to homeless people before and they are ever so grateful for it.

Instead of collecting the usual fruit and veg for a harvest festival, our school collects tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate powder for a homeless charity. They send vans out in cold weather and make hot drinks for people.

Freezing cold day at work today. I'm chilled to the bone and don't think I've thawed out yet. Almost caught up on last weeks work now!

Katy Perry texted Charlotte earlier to tell her that she'd bumped her knee.
Here I go again on my own....
