Good evening everyone. Really lovely photos over the last day or so and great hearing the updates after Gill's suggestion :)

We had the first ever walk with the walker today!! Video is on FB :)

DS is now eating anything and everything, current favourite is clementines and he goes crazy when he sees one. He loves peekaboo and will do that around any object or with any bib / jumper / blanket he can get his hands on. He has also started stropping a bit when he gets moved away from the fire or other things he's not allowed to touch.

He's also making a lot of noises that sound like words, he tries to say bye bye, dada, mama and more which are all very cute and we have hit and miss waving too.
  • That's fab RB.

Katie got an orange from the Christingle service at church last night she's being going mad for it. I've added them to my shopping list along with satsumas as I love them.

  • I have another satsuma obsessive here. He can easily eat a whole one, and half of mine if I let him.

Very cute video, RB. I love the laptop lunge at the end.

Mel, how are K and T health-wise? Miss M was a bit rubbish at rolling over. And she only chuckled on one occasion and I think I freaked her out with my OTT praise and she never did it again.

MDW, that must be really frustrating. at your former employers.

CAFC you are more than welcome, I thought you would love it :)

Mel why shoud they have to talk and roll when they have big brothers and a mummy to do it!!! its only recently that Erin has started to talk, her latest is 'why mummy' i dont think she even knows what it means but has heard the bigger kids saying it :D

Awww Bruno sounds like you could do with a day off and a lie in!!

Thats strange Susan but good news! all our other houses have been older, this house is 3 years old with fancy heating and double glazed windows so im not sure what caused the problems. I would say overall our health has been much better living here?

Our current house was built in the fifties so newer than the previous one. I think for us the difference is better ventilation. We maybe use one or two cloths to wipe the windows in Winter and generally just Alice's because it's north facing and she has a blackout blind right against the window. Our old house I would use a whole hand towel just for the front door. The other houses had airbricks but ours had been rendered over them.

    Same here.

I'm not looking forward to if Charlotte asks to have it done. I think I'll have to tell her to ask Daddy to take her :o

Does anyone have their tree up yet?

I'm putting ours up at Christmas :p

Usually put it up around the 15th Dec as I don't like it being up too early.

This weather is weird. We noticed early that it seemed to be thawing and the snow was falling off the fence and roof. We looked at the weather sites and all mention of snow overnight had gone. We've just had a really heavy snow flurry, so we checked the weather sites again, and all the heavy snow overnight warnings have come back. Guess we'll just have to see what happens in the morning.

Stay safe and warm everyone xx
Here I go again on my own....

I cant believe the difference in heating from th old house to new, old house was solid stone build and had a new heating system put in but it really was useless. The house was always cold and we were continually ill. Here the heating is amazing and is only on for short periods as it holds the heat and as saved us a fortune in fuel bills!

The health aspect is the main advantage though. I have lost count of how many times they were bundled into the car and taken to hospital wheezing and unable to catch their breath. Lewis spent the first 3 months of primary school at home as we couldnt get him well enough :( we havent had any inhalors/steroids or anti biotics since moving in here just over a year ago. It really is crazy??

SS where are you staying? any idea when you may get home and how is OH?? I cant imagine how stessful it must be just wanting to get home and being stuck :( i hope that it all works out soon xx

My Grandad reckons central heating is one of the main reasons people live longer these days.
