  • I can't have out heating up too high as it dries the air out too much for Katie and it makes her cough.

I hate our boiler, it's getting on for 15 years old, the hot water pressure is useless, takes ages to get warm, plus we don't have a central thermostat we have to adjust all the radiators individually, DH likes them all on 6 so the house is tropical, I like to keep the house cool so I am constantly turning them down.

Some lovely Fairies arrived today, thank you redstar, T is very pleased;)

Bably updates...Nothing really to update on either of my LO's...K still doesn't talk, T doesn't sit and only rolls occasionally:(

Thomas's best friend was born 2 days after your T and he's nowhere near ready to sit yet. T is 6 weeks older and only finally got his balance this week! His friend is very vocal tho, making loads more different noises than Thomas does. It's mad how they all develop so differently.

We hardly every get chuckles, he smiles nearly all the time but hardly ever laughs. When he had some eczema under his arms and we put the cream on he'd occasionally laugh then, and DH can get him by being silly sometimes. I wish he'd do it more coz it's soooo cute :A

Does anyone have their tree up yet?
If anyone does then you need to 'av a word with yourself :p

Christmas decs before December are WRONG WRONG WRONG!!:p

  • A friend of mine as soon as it's 1st December all the decorations are up.

Where I live the residents that decorate outside are putting the decorations up but aren't lighting them up, yet.

It makes for a lovely walk on Christmas Eve though, looking at all the decorations, some people do put a lot of effort in.

But I agree, decorations before December are wrong.

My Church had the tree up yesterday, it's always up in time for the first Sunday of Advent.

Oooops, I didn't mean to sound so negative in my post:o

I just looked out my window and the ground looks white......bleurgh! As for decorations....I agree, there should be a ban on anything christmassy even being on display anywhere until December:p I usually put our up 12 days before and take down 12days after.....isn't that meant to be the tradition(like in the song!)

    xx

  • Which reminds me that H is probably (weather permitting) staying with his Grandparents Friday night so DH and I can have a decent night's sleep, a lie in and a day's Christmas shopping on our own. He will be a whole stretch of water away from us . I will probably cry :p but am :D about the sleep.

Does that mean he gets to go on a ferry?! We've not done that with Izzy yet. I think in the summer a day trip will be necessary :)
Sounds lovely to have a lie in though. I think I'd probably end up wakin up by 7am anyway, but I'm sure I would be able to drop off again. One day!

We had a rubbish night again here - Izzy woke up twice, and the second time I ended up giving in and lying on the sofa in her room. I'm not sure which of us fell asleep first, but it isn't very comfy and I woke up all crunchy and feeling like I could do with another 2 hours or so. Early night for me tonight I think.

    Ooo, we have snow! :T

Only a couple centimetres max, but still pretty :D. Perfect timing, too, since DH is off today so I don't have to trudge to the CM's.

Sami, I think I shall put up Christmas decs tonight just to annoy you. :p

My Grandad reckons central heating is one of the main reasons people live longer these days.

My Dad talks about how cold it was in their house when he was a child. There was no central heating and they only lit the fire downstairs on an evening. My Grandpa was a miner and he would come in filthy so the room would be warm for him to bathe in a tin bath in front of the fire as they didn't have a bathroom.

My Dad can remember feeling really special when he had measles as he was allowed to have the fire lit in his bedroom!

More snow here and it's thick of ice. Going to dig the car out again shortly and try and get some work done. School buses are going to try and get through and both schools are open today.

    Stay safe everyone xx

We must have just missed it then as all we've had is a dusting overnight.

We did have thunder and lightning though which was quite impressive.
