*hugs* SM, that must have been really tough for you xxxMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hugs SM.
Gill -:j for sitting up and crawling. Now you are in troubleI have a proper terrible toddler today, but a proper cute one though. It has been a visiting the in laws day, which is lovely, but always ends up with a wonky routine re food, added sweeties, and sleep at the wrong times in the car. We dropped DH at work just before 4, and I feel like I've spent every second since saying "no". I feel like I'm dealing with it quite well, but I am definitely ready for a drink before bed .

When he is around DH gets stroppy with me for not being stricter with her, but I save telling her off for if she is doing something that will hurt someone or break something - I still feel like I'm doing it all the time as it is!

Massive hugs to Scruffy, stay strong sweetheart, we will be here to support you whenever you need us xxxIs it just me or do we need get many baby/child updates on here anymore? I don't feel like I know where any of the littlies are up to or how they are doing. I think it's all got a bit lost in recent 'things we don't talk about'.
I'm finding this (7 months) such a lovely age. He loves to initiate games of peepo where he picks up a sleepsuit/blanket and pulls it over his face and then off again, getting super excited when I shout Peepo
Who's next?
I agree. As much as I love all the mummies and daddies here I am much more interested in hearing about the babies.
YAY to Thomas for sitting and crawling. I think they just get cuter and cuter as they start doing things!
News here is that after months of letting him sit on his potty whenever he asked for it Benjamin did a wee on it yesterday :T:T Unfortunately MIL was looking after him at the time but he did come on the phone when hubby and I were in the car and tell us 'babba big boy wee-wee pot'
He is like a little sponge at the moment, constantly copying us and repeating things, it is wonderful to see him do more and more things each day.
He has also started going to dance classes with the CM's girls on a Friday afternoon which he is LOVING - dancing and singing it definitely where it is at in MFD towers ATM.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

You're right Gill- not enough baby updates.
Well done T on the sitting and crawling. I think sitting up is one of the things that makes a big difference to what you can do with them.
Henry is doing really well. He is so close to walking unaided- he can manage about two steps then drops to his knees.
His talking is coming on well and he now has quite a few words and sounds, but it is his understanding which astounds me. He understands so much of what is said to him- if you ask him to get you a particular toy or book he goes off and gets it. He also says woof woof whenever he sees a dog in real life, in a book or on TV. It makes us laugh as often we haven't even seen the dog in question, but there invariably is one. He can do some of his shapes in his shape sorter on his own. He is also getting good at throwing and catching, which is so cute!
I love having a 1 year old!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
sounds like henry is doing really well gisi ... and the woof woof thing .. jayden thinks if the dog barks at the door then so must he and he looks to see if we do it *shrug* :rotfl: ... but throwing and catching thats awesome that he can do that
