Around once a week unless their hair gets unusually crispy (spaghetti is the usual cause of crispy hair around here). And I often put them both in at once to save time and sanity. I've got two who shriek in anguish if I get water anywhere near their faces, so I really couldn't handle doing it every say...
  • Twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, just the same as the rest of the family.

How on earth do you justify not showering your kids ? That is tantamount to child cruelty.

amount of groups you feel comfortable going to - None :(
I never took Alice to a group until we moved house when she was two. And apart from walks in the village and church on Sundays I didn't really take her anywhere until we went on holiday when she was three months. And I think the first time I went out with her in the car by myself was when she was ten months.

    Just popping in :)

weezl - once we get back from the school run C has a half hour nap around half nine/ten. I clear the breakfast pots and put some washing in. When she wakes up I play with her, vacuum while she follows, bake your carrot cake :) while [STRIKE]she sits on the worktop[/STRIKE] watches. Sometimes happily sometimes not. I try and play with her as much as I can, but it's more like 10 mins or so at a time. Sometimes I take her out in the pushchair to the shop just to break up the day.

I barely get on the laptop, and then only for a couple of mins unless she is asleep. She has another half hour nap in the afternoon and then it's the school run again.

We don't really go to any groups, although me and a mummy friend (who has a 23 month old) meet up once a week at a play centre. I just don't feel comfortable going to groups - it feels kind of forced.

She goes to bed around 9.30ish, then I come downstairs and tidy up, do pack-ups and have cereal. Then it's my golden time on the laptop! With no baby bashing it!

And on cue she's woken up!

With the first I gave a bath every day, now the 2nd has come along and I have more to do I tend to skip a day or two if I have a lot on and I have come to the conclusion that kids don't get that dirty and don't really need a daily bath. Do they? How often do you bath your kids?

as your question isn't strictly moneysaving I've merged it into the parent thread where you will get lots of ideas and advice from othet parents :)

Phew glad I am not the only one that doesnt take T to a group! I just dont feel comfortable atm. Maybe I have taken him out too much with him being so young, I think as I am in the middle of no where I have kinda had to (plus with it being just me and him in the week) so I have to drive even if I just want a loaf of bread.

Kitkat hope you are ok, my middle son hated being out and about and different places, he was happiest being at home as he got older(3/4 months) you could see/feel him visibly relax as we walked through our front door after being shopping or visiting family so until he was 7 /8 months these were always cut short!
He did grow out of it but has always been a *likes to be at home" boy! Hugs.x

Also remember he picks up your mood as well, so when you get tense and worried when he cries he will know! So (and believe me I know it is easier said than done!) try and relax and stay calm. (Hope none of that sounds patronizing,it's not meant to just supportive!)

Oh, that is nice redstar. And Gill a date sounds grand. We need to have another one of those, but babysitting favours are all used up for Christmas things, and we won't have any penies in January. Will have to wait till after January payday I expect.

I read this as penises at first.
