Aw thanks skint, maybe it'll get better, just feel a bit like we're going backwards as he has been out and about since 3 days old and been perfect, and now its all going wrong. I was encouraged to get him used to being out and now I dont wana leave the house with him again :( OH went a bit mad when I told him this on the phone but i dont think he understands as he is always away :(

It is a shame it is so cold outside or I would suggest you just take him for a walk round the block. Even if he yells all the way round, getting out of the 4 walls would do you both the workd of good (and the exercise would help pick your mood up a bit too)... It is a bit like going to the gym or something - hard to work yourself up to actually do it, but you feel better for it afterwards . Probably not an option until it is less freezing though. :grouphug:. Repeat after me "it is only a phase, it is only a phase".

We're off to messy plan this morning. Izzy has been asking to go all week :D. You will get to this stage too :)

  • Twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, just the same as the rest of the family.

How on earth do you justify not showering your kids ? That is tantamount to child cruelty.

What a ridiculous comment! All of our LO's are clean and well looked after and to insinuate that we are cruel for not showering them twice a day is insulting! I think you need to look around in the real world if you think that this is tantamount to child cruelty......

    Morning

    It's currently -2°C outside - brrrr!

My friend rang the school bus and texted me to say the school bus was coming, so I've sent the boys to the bus stop and told them to text me when they are on the bus. I've not heard from them yet.

Going to attempt to get to work today and see how much I can get done. I don't really want to go, but if I stop off, I don't get paid and everything will pile up into next week.

    Stay safe everyone xx
Here I go again on my own....

Morning ladies, have been awol for a while if any noticed. Was really unwell the end of last week and then my Mum and Step Dad visited at the weekend so that was really nice. Anyhoo had a busy week and just havent had time to get on. So anyone wanna catch me up on anything important thats been happening cos I dont think I'll have time to read back?

Bath (sometimes shower) wise T gets one every other day unless we have an incident! but the days she doesnt have a bath she gets a very good wash. We occasionally go 2 days between baths if something happens to wreck our routine.

Going to playgroup this morning, wondering if T will nap before we go.

Oh and if anyone is after a Sophie Giraffe, just spotted on Mothercare website they are currently on sale so only £10.36 :D

Phew glad I am not the only one that doesnt take T to a group! I just dont feel comfortable atm. Maybe I have taken him out too much with him being so young, I think as I am in the middle of no where I have kinda had to (plus with it being just me and him in the week) so I have to drive even if I just want a loaf of bread.
I don't think there's anything wrong with taking babies out and about lots. I didn't need to because we had shops in the village and I could get OH to pick up things we couldn't get in the village on his lunch break or on his way home from work. My friends thought it was really weird that I stayed at home "on my own" but I was really busy with Alice and given that I had spent the majority of the previous eight months actually at home on my own (because of being ill in pregnancy), going for a walk in the village once a day felt like getting out quite a lot and the effort of fitting in going somewhere in the car in between all the feeding etc just didn't really seem worth it.

Hello stranger! Saw you on FB, though. Are you officially on holiday from work now? I am rubbish on catch ups but there have been poorly little ones, poorly mummies and snow for those further up the country.

Seriously rubbish night here. H's sleeping is so bad at the moment- it's a joke. Still it was my turn for a lie in so I'm vaguely okay this morning.

I'm off to work today, but at least I'm not spending pennies while I am there!

    Morning everyone,

    Hello all merged ladies :waves:

RealButter, I know, it almost tempted me to have a trip into town for a nosey but it's far to cold, have fun at the exhibition.

Som - I'm going to wait for Katie's next car seat for the sales, sorry to hear you've been poorly.

KitKat - I only went to so much stuff as I am aware Katie is going to be an only one and it wouldn't be good for her to be shy, so I've had her out and about places since she was 17 days old, it was easier though as she is an April baby so it was a bit warmer. I agree with Pink though, if you're tense T will be tense. (((Hugs))) A positive spin: his favourite place in the entire world is at home with his favourite person.

Quiet morning here, DH at work, DD at playgroup, I phoned Tax Credits and advised them I'm on JSA.
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it

I like your positive spin :) I do think I need to change my attitute, but I am finding it really hard :o maybe a few days in will do us both good, its just such a pain where we live as I have to drive to do any shopping/ etc. And now its snowing and I have no food in!!
