I don't know about anyone else but MSE was playing up yesterday so maybe sympathy was posted into virtual world but didn't quite reach the pages of MSE??
Hope the poorlies get better soon.
It's a yucky cold thing doing it's rounds. I've been feeling yuck for days now:( Sort throat, v snotty nose and today I've been sicky sick.
Hope the meet was fun!;):)
I could barely get MSE to load yesterday and hasn't been much better today, or I would have given Mel sympathy.

Hi all, I haven't managed to read back, but just wanted to pop in and say hi.
I'm still just plodding through each day, ds went to nursery as usual, so I spent most of my day sleeping or snoozing, as ds has been getting up too early, especially when I haven't been able to to get to sleep until 1, 2am each night. So today with a wicked sore throat I just helped myself physically by having a duvet day.
MW been out to me today, all ok. Today feels like an ok day, it has however been exactly a month today, which just feels like crazy, I have lived 31days of my life already without my dh, it feels like an awful thing to do, live on without him, they are all days that he hasn't been here, he doesn't know about, he doesn't know he was going to be an uncle again as my sil is pregnant, its just weird, it also feels so selfish to go forward without him. He will never know my loneliness, which I can only hope will improve at some point.
I have my first ante-natal class tomorrow, my friend who will be one of my birth partners is coming with me, I'm sort of dreading it from the point of having to introduce myself, my class teacher is also a trainee midwife and has already met me since the accident so is well aware. Hopefully that will ease it.
Anyway I'm trying to do some ironing and I keep getting distracted!0 -
Line a bowl with some tin foil. Add the necklace and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Pour boiling water over it and leave it to soak. It will fizz so take care! Take necklace out and buff with a soft cloth. Easy peasy
Thanks for this Beccles, the results were amazing!! The dirt that came off was quite horrific though! After I did the necklaces I was raiding my jewellery for more to clean LOL. Do you know if its only suitable for silver, what about gold? (my mum actually asked me this!)0 -
MASSIVE *HUGS* Twoflowers, I think you are doing an amazing job and I am sure you DH is looking over you feeling very proud of you.0

I've done it with white gold and it was fine, not sure if normal gold would be the same thoMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hugs Delain, hope you all start to feel better soon.
I have to have background noise to concentrate, I've been lucky in a couple of work places where they've allowed radios. My DH's constant refrain is, but you're not watching it, my answer yes I am, I'm capable of doing 2 things at once.
It sounds like you have a babysitter in the making in your sister, have you tried the tiger in the tree hold, lie him on his tummy on your arm, head towards your elbow, arms hanging down?
Hugs TwoFlowers, you are doing exactly the right thing taking care of yourself. I think it's going to feel very wrong for a while. I have a faith which makes me think that as long as he is alive in yours and your DS' hearts he is with you. HugsProud to be dealing with my debts

MDW Yeh I have tried holding him like that, although I am amazed at the name! He loved being held like that as a newborn but I admit I havent tried it for a few weeks. Might have a go tomorrow. (what a cute photo tho!)
My sis is getting better, she has no experience with babies and I had a few hiccups with her initially. Although tonight Theo coo'ed and it sounded just like he said 'hello', it shocked her and she goes 'o f*** me he just said hello' and Theo went into a full on screaming session! Well I did tell her don't swear! LOL0 -
Definitely a cutie pie that picture, he was saying helloProud to be dealing with my debts

Hello lovelies!
It was lovely to meet some of you yesterday - but I was horribly ill in the evening, has anyone else been feeling grotty? I felt wrecked, a friend I've not seen for a few years is in Edinburgh and invited us for dinner, she'd barely started cooking and I was locked in her bathroom dry heaving
And as you can see from the time of my post, things have not much improved
Hugs Mel, I hope you and your little two had a better night.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning all.
I've not read back (again), barring this page, but I see we are on tv. I'm the oposite I'm afraid. DH comes from a "watching the least crap rhing on tv" family and I'm more of the "only put it on if there is atually something to watch" mentality. When he isn't about it is quite nice to have some quiet or pop a cd onWe have cbeebies on in the mornings though - when I'm being dragged from sleep at 6am it is nice to have something other than me to entertain here while I sit like a zombie with the laptop
Twoflower, for what it is worth I think you are doing a great job and I'm sure your DH would be really proud of you for keeping everything going at home - I don't think I would be ironing if I was in the same situation (not that I ever iron, but ykwim!). Good luck for your anti-natal class. How many weeks are you now?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
