  • SM that sounds crappy :( when is the 24hour thing coming in for wtc?

SS, if it helps there are lots of times i wish i'd spoke up during my long labour with jake that ended in em cs, i wish i'd insisted on gas and air when i got to 4cm instead of letting them persuade me to have diamorphine, it just slowed the contractions and made me sick, and especially at the end when the witch of a doctor (and she was a witch, she was telling me off for making too much noise and commented the next day she thought i was only 16 - biatch dont know what difference that made) came at me with various instruments i should have told her to fluck off, the only time i did put my foot down was when she mentioned getting scissors out!! I think we're all probably guilty of wishing we'd spoke up at certain times x

I would be fuming too SM :(

GISI, I would refuse an induction next time, wait till 41 weeks if necessary and then schedule a planned C-section. I'm not sure about an epidural since it was so mismanaged and I would insist on everything being done through English. I was told when we booked in that everyone would speak to me in English, but on the day we went in Husband started speaking in German and from then nobody would speak in English even if he wasn't in the room and I couldn't understand what was happening. He wanted to make it as easy as possible for them without understanding that he was doing it at my expense, and now he knows what happened it wouldn't be the same situation again. I appreciate that he was trying to help, but it definitely backfired - and his frequent disappearances also didn't help. He went to his office at one point to show his face and thereby gain an extra day of paternal leave, which meant that I was alone for almost two hours, and he kept going off for walks because he was bored. None of that another time

  • Good evening all,
sorry i havent been around to post since i delurked the other day. Thanks for everyones thoughts and stuff on sleeping, I know every baby is different but its nice to know other peoples situations and i agree with you Gill (i would rather feed G for 15 mins than keep getting up with him if i was given the choice!). i am however getting better at sleeping when he does in a morning when we have had a bad night rather than feeling guilty that things need doing in the house(its only taken almost 6 months for me to work that one out!)
On my way to have a read back. Cant work out how to add a picture yet though, it just says please enter url of your image, how do i know what that is?
so whilst i catch up, hugs to all who need them whatever the reason may be, and hugs even if you dont need them xx

    What a pain, SM :(

On my way to bed to catch up on recent bad nights, but
E is quite bad at eating veg - I was serving up some spinach leaves on the grownups' plates and he looked interested so I handed him one. He looked suspiciously at it, so I ate one with pantomimed enthusiasm... he eats it slowly, face screwing up, waits a sec then vomits all down his front :( full-on vomit too, all his supper etc. Tcho!

    and

OH joined me in the kitchen and points to the worktop behind me, says "Hammer!". I look...there is no hammer... I say "What??". She says "Hammer!... you know... hammer...guh... THAT!" and points at the kitchen roll... baby brain  :p

    'Night all.

I've never been able to sleep in the day when not pregnant, caspie, but even if I wasn't sleeping I'd lie down and rest and read. I'm glad you're getting the sleep in :)

As I gave Benjamin his bath tonight he was singing 'ceebeebies, ceebeebies, ceebeebies' :o we don't even have it on that much!!

He also also started to say 'Yes, I Like That' and 'I Can't Do That' :T:T

I read that as "As I gave birth to Benjamin he was singing 'ceebeebies, ceebeebies, ceebeebies'"

    and was like :eek::rotfl:

You guys have talked about a super easy choclate truffle recipe before that uses cream and dark chocolate. I have cream and dark chocolate but no recipe.

I also feel like giving those peppermint things that use icing sugar a go.

    Rather than study...

I also plan to refuse induction next time and opt for a planned c-section if I go overdue, since being induced would make it all a bit too much like last time for me.

I can't imagine how scary it must have been to have everyone around you speaking in German, and I cross my fingers for you that you have an empowering positive experience next time to try and make amends for the trauma of last time.
