I thought I was going mad then Weezl lol...

Was going to do shepherds pie for tea, then realised no potatoes... So decided on chicken and bacon fried rice... But discovered not enough rice... So hubby did the girls and omlette each and we just ordered a curry :D:D

Just got to wait for it to arrive, according to Just-Eat the expected delivery time is 8:45

yes I'm not sure if they've now removed the thing (from some guidelines) about the type of previous scar... is that because they are all lower quarter transverse incisions now?

Because of complications with Daisy's section I've been told if I was to risk another pregnancy I would have to have the vertical incision (don't know the proper name as I'm not as intelligent as some people;):p)

I'm not going to risk another pregnancy (too many dangers, I'd get too poorly etc) as much as I would love another baby but was wondering does anyone have that type incision anymore?? Wasn't it the "old way" of doing a section but caused too many problems??

Hmmm... I'm sure this thread is shrinking;)

very interesting. I enjoy finding out these things. Are there equivalent guidelines for German obs specialists? (cos it seems that the procedures vary by country, I mean)

  • Evening all :D Hope everyone is okay xx

As I gave Benjamin his bath tonight he was singing 'ceebeebies, ceebeebies, ceebeebies' :o we don't even have it on that much!!

He also also started to say 'Yes, I Like That' and 'I Can't Do That' :T:T

Hubby picked him up from the CM and he was wearing a witches hat, he has had it on all day and wouldn't let anyone remove it....until he saw me and then he said 'Mum hat' and put it on me!!!

Apparently my son thinks I am a witch :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't know much about it but I believe the old way had a much higher risk of uterine rupture in furture pregnancy/birth.

The process of care is significantly different here. Ultrasound machines are standard in OBG offices and you get one at each visit (monthly, and they check blood, pee, weight and BP also). Fundal height is considered extremely outmoded. Enema pre-labour is standard and you have to fight off the nurses if you don't want one. Home birth is unusual. You're supposed to go to the hospital ASAP once your waters break/you're having regular contractions. Post-birth stay is several days, and you organise a midwife to make up to 12 home visits in the six months post-birth to check up on you.

SS is there anything you want to tell us or you just a crazy woman like me who plans things excessively beforehand?

    # 6641

When I start feeling that things are out of my control I get very insistent on planning things in minute detail. I am not pregnant but considering my options - if I were planning more than two children than a VBAC would be in my best interests, hence VBAC for me with the chance that it will fail and I will feel even more like a failure as a babymaker.

Well done to Izzy on a good parents evening.

SS I'm sorry you feel like a failure. :grouphug:

I know everyone on here would want to help/listen/be a support if we can, and if thinking it through by typing helps then I think you should (if you like!)
