Krystal, I would be having words with the friend or else taking her/getting someone else to take her yourself. Lateness and not taking her to the door together are not ok.
I'm a bit stuck with the situtation for now... If I started walking Aimee in, I think I'd end up taking her daughter in and walking her back as we have to walk past her house to get there (and she's that kind of person)... And she doesn't have anyone else to walk her daughter back so I'm stuck with that one...

And the walk up hill from the school is killing me to be honest... The midwife has referred me to physio for my back now...

Oh, and I'll definitely be walking mine until they're at secondary school... It's just not safe not to!

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

My mum worked at my primary (30mins drive) so I couldn't really walk :p (although in the last yr I did walk to the shop before school sometimes) and OH & BIL weren't allowed to walk until HS either
We lived 5 mins from primary school with no roads to cross and my mum could see the gate from one of the bedroom windows to check whether I'd arrived. My mum said she would pick me up and I would run ahead and be waiting on the doorstep for her when she got home so not much point in her picking me up or dropping me off.

But doesn't High School start at Year Nine? Unless you had a particularly unsuitable route I would think it a bit weird for a 13 year old to not be allowed to go to school on their own.

dd was counting to around a hundred, but then got bored and stopped. This was at 3.
All kids are different. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
She wasnt actually counting but learned a repeat a pattern. 1-100
She could add and subtract to about 10, by 3 yrs.

All children are different and they learn at different rates.

Do you do counting activities with her? All of mine have been great at counting to 14 from an early age. That's because we have 14 stairs and we always count them on the way up and down :D
Here I go again on my own....

    Evening,

Sorry no time to catch up - just popping my nose in before dinner :)

    Huge congrats Always :D

Gill - TumbleTots was fab, Guy loved it - it's quite free compared to other groups i.e. there's a couple of songs to start and finish and the middle is letting baby roam free. It's fantastic for us as Guy is a really physical baby and doesn't like to sit still, he's happiest climbing/crawling/cruising & generally getting into mischief, he loved the ladders, slides, ball pool and tunnel so we're definitely going back :)

CAFC I really struggled to amuse Guy, he thought the Jumperoo was rubbish but it's worth a punt second hand as they sell on well. Have you tried any groups since the baby massage? I find they're great for keeping me sane and for Guy to interact with other babies, keeps him amused no end! Very sorry about Gordon, but at least he's going to a good home and you'll still get to see him :)

Hammy thank you for the suggestion of coconut milk rice pud - I'm going to give it a try tomorrow for him, I think he'd loved it, he's big on sweet things (just like his mummy!).

Saw the lovely SJ & Alfie today, the boys had lots of fun playing now they're mobile - though my boy is a total grabbing bully!!

Right gotta go eat, good vibes for all in need, xx
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
