DK, we had a natures nest hammock and a crib for night time. Most nights she slept in with me. Have you tired her in just the cot?

Big sis is in the cot and has got nowhere else to go! we have a crib so will have to send hubby to retrieve it soon. She sleeps in with us most of the night so we do get some sleep but it's not a habit I want to get into as hubby doesn't sleep well when she's there (although I do!) and needs to function for work.

Could try that in a crib - think she keeps hitting the sides of the basket so could be that? We also warm the basket with a hot water bottle but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I don't think so TIA but Keira's hair went bouffant and big and felt loads thicker once it was done. It's calmed down a bit today :rotfl:
  • Buttons, great pics of Keira - she's got lovely long hair, A will be jealous! I don't know how you resisted hitting that boy yourself, I would have been very tempted...

Children develop at differing ages, but she has most likely to learnt to count as they would learn a nursery rhyme, its just repeation. When I worked in a nursery we would just work on getting them familiar with letters and numbers, but wouldnt expect them to know them by sight

I was furious, but my friend did most of the argy bargying, her kid got it worse. I just like  I remember that little boy from the playgroup we used to go too and he was horrid then too, gouging his mum in the eyes etc. Just remembered too, he spat on Ethan aswell. That is so horrible!

Yep her hair is right down her back now, she refuses point blank to go to the hairdressers though, she needs a trim and that fringe sorted :rotfl:

DK, I'd dig out the crib. A lot of the time I think they just don't like not being able to nosey out. Worth a try if you have one already.
  • What are some parents like? I would have been appalled if A had done that to another child - but I'm afraid she's a bit like Keira. When a little boy that she went to nursery with, bit her arm, DH said that she should have hit him back, and she said 'but it's wrong to hit, Daddy'!

I fancy some sort of potatoes in cheese sauce dish. *random*
I really fancy a cheese and onion cob...
I reckon it would take a least 2 hours to dry Krystals barnet with it (I remember how long and thick your hair is ......biatch :p)
'tis why I don't bother with hair dryers... That and they give me a frizzy halo...

You want some hair? I'll cut off my split ends and post em to ya...

Oh and I crimp Aimee's hair with my Babyliss crimpers circa 1986 :D
I wrote loads then lost it! Boo

Any tips on getting a 4 week old to love her moses basket? We manage 2 hour stints (max) occasionally but she won't settle consistently anywhere unless being held/in a sling. She has a dummy which is great when she keeps it in, is bf, and cries a lot. Have bought her some infacol today so will start on that.

Oh and is there a recommended weight for sleeping bags, I think she may be cold at night so might try her in one of the many I have.
We called Caitlyn miserable baby for about 2 months... She did nothing and cry... Hated the moses basket etc... She did get better though... Never liked the moses but was happy to settle in the crib... I agree with Tia, towels rolled up under the sheet to feel like a little nest...

    I think it's somewhere round 7 1/2 pounds for a sleeping bag...

And repeat after me, it's just a phase!

Have broached with friend about leaving Aimee at the gate in the morning instead of taking her to the classroom (which is round a corner at the back of the school) after Aimee told me someone told her off this morning for being on her own... Will maybe broach the lateness thing in a few days...

Got a driving lesson at 6:45... I've had enough of them now... I don't know how I'm going to pass the test... I'm pretty crap at it... She did me a mock test last week, 20mins long and I failed 7 times over...:o:(
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I actually thought about you when I saw it on tv! Because you're always saying your hair is thin and you fluff it up to make it look fuller. In a nice way :p

DK - personally at this time of year we are using a 2.5tog sleeping bag. Tia's advice is good - try sticking rolled-up towels around the edges of the mattress, creating a nest effect. It helped a lot in our early days.
