Excuse my pouring everything out on here, people have much worse problems (and are more regulars). I suddenly realise I haven't talked this through enough with anyone - except OH who wants whatever is best for me and baby - and I think I need more help.

I think people have already said that it doesn't matter how your experience was in comparison to other people, it matters how it affects you. I had counselling to deal with Molly's birth and it was the first time I'd been able to talk about it with a RL person who wasn't Husband and wasn't involved and therefore a bit defensive of his part in it. It really helped, and I hope you can find a way to get over your last birth before your next one (congratulations BTW!!)

ooooh SS my xmas loving friend... found some gawgus photos and ideas for crafts...

    LOVE!!!!

Krystal, I would be having words with the friend or else taking her/getting someone else to take her yourself. Lateness and not taking her to the door together are not ok.

    Hugs and hello to everyone.

Red - Katie is in size 8 but wears size 10 ballet shoes - no idea about the clothing, it's not required in her age group - her next dance show is Moulin Rouge.

Been to the solicitor signed the agreement, he's not sending it until I've approved the reference.

Redstar - catwoman on the pg thread is a ballet teacher - she posted a photo yesterday of her doing a pliet (sp? I think) with a big bump, maybe she can give you the down low on where's best to get ballet gear and sizes. I don't know if they still do but asda and tesco have both in the past done ballet leotards, tights and cardi's (I so didn't buy a childrens ballet cardi when I was like 18yo and skinny:cool:)

Krystal just for future I'm pretty sure the irish n scots just use P (primary) instead of Y (year) in school classes :) P3 = Y3 dunno what they do about reception tho ??

Am I weird for thinking I won't let my boys walk to/from school alone until high school then?
My mum worked at my primary (30mins drive) so I couldn't really walk :p (although in the last yr I did walk to the shop before school sometimes) and OH & BIL weren't allowed to walk until HS either

We just don't have it - we start school at 5 and have pre-school nursery for 4-5 year olds

    Ante-preschool at aged 3+ (playgroup)
    Preschool at aged 4+ (nursery)
Primary 1 at aged 5+ (school)

    Or there abouts.

Not really Sami. It's a very simple road for him to walk and there are many others walking on their own. Each to their own and all that. If we lived in the town, I wouldn't let him walk.

No.. I walk my two to school and back and will continue to do so until they go to high school. This year ds2 has only just gone up to the juniors so we still meet him in the playground...As do the majority of other yr 3 parents...from yr 4 most parents wait either outside the gate, in their car, down the road a bit etc...

Unfortunately we have had an ongoing problem with men in cars going around schools and parks trying to get children into the car...It has been going on on and off for about a year now, so there is NO WAY I would leave my kids to walk home on their own...

    xx

no reception class in scotland. our school intake year is 1 April - 28th March.

year you turn 3 - nursery (not compulsory)
year you turn 4 - pre-school (like reception - not sure if compulsory?)
    year you turn 5 - Primary (P) 1

all the way until Primary 7

then you go to High school, referred to s S (secondary) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. You can leave after 4th year when you turn 16 (meaning couple of pupils hve to come back to do some of 5th year) or stay on for 5th year or 5th and 6th year.
