I don't suppose its a Dell is it?
We're on our third power cable now and its going the same way as the first two! Its not charging so if it falls out, it switches off.:beer:0 -
Morning everyone, not read back further than this page so apologies for missing anything.
Jillie - welcome back, I'm pleased your holiday went well.
Hope poorly mummies and little ones are feeling better very soon.
Well, I've been up and down for the last day or so, I feel like every step I gain, I lose another.
Yesterday I visited the school in the area where we are buying. I've been told that they are oversubscribed by 2 students, so we will have to apply and then appeal for Amelie and hope they will take another student. However, it just isn't going to be possible to keep taking her to her current school so I think we'll have to try. I visited the school anyway in the hope that it'll all work out, and the head teacher told me that they've just had a pupil confirmed as leaving, so they are hopeful that A will get a place. I was so pleased, especially as I really liked what i saw. Driving home, however, the car started making an awful grinding noise. DH had a look and thinks that at the very least, the brake pads have gone, and I may have damaged the wheel as well. So the car's at the garage again. Just what we need after the tv broke at the weekend too. At this rate we'll be lucky if we can pay for the solicitor for the house! Grr, just waiting for the third thing to go wrong now...

Hope it goes well MDW - there's no rush though, tell her, you need a bit of a break

Red! What a nightmare! Hopefully A gets her place at the school though and it's a minimal problem with the car. We live quite happily without a TV though, so maybe it could wait till after Christmas? You still have computers to watch films on

Thanks SS - To be honest, I'm not really worried about the tv - I don't watch much, though as we've been using a tv as our computer monitor for the last three years Dan's already nabbed that to watch tv on - I think he's a tv addict!!!
The car's a real pain though as I'm having to rely on my mum for everything. A's school's too far to walk and it's in a little village, so no bus route - so my mum has to come to us, collect A, take her to school and then collect her. Tomorrow she's intending to collect her at 3.15, take her to their house for tea, then take her back to the school for ballet at 4.45-5.15 before bringing her home. I told her that A can live without her ballet class for one week but she doesn't want her to miss out! I really don't know what I would do without her, but I feel awful that she's having to do so much.
