I told DH that I would do some ironing and I can't be bothered.
  • SS - it seems that most jeans in the UK are the hipster style so to get a bit more of a waist band you buy the next size up :)

ethelsmum - sorry no help here with meals as OH finnishes work at 3.15 and we all eat together around 5.30/6pm.

gill - with bananas I break them in half and then poke my little finger down the middle and they naturaly break into 3 chip size pieces :) never had issues with them breaking unless T squeezes really hard.

Can anyone recommend any good lego sets between £10 and £15 for an 11 year old boy? Its for my nephew, I've bought him Lego every Christmas (and some birthdays too) for the last 3/4 years and he still loves it so why change it I figure. I usually spend £25 on him as he is my only nephew and normally get him a Game or HMV voucher with the remaining money.

Ladybird - poor you V&D :( hope you feel better soon x

CAFC - very jelous of your ikea veg basket, they were out of stock when I went last. Will have to get them for her birthday now.

Gill - there is a thread on here all about treasure baskets, all I can remember is a sponge and a ball of scrunched up foil

I don't really feel like doing anything right now. I'm borrrrrrrrred.

Did you know you get a mini crimper thingy to give your hair volume? I do now. Thats how bored I am.

Som - it's not a recommendation but this lego set is on hotukdeals.

Or this one. ETA I'm dying to try that banana tip! I never knew they did that lol. He actually coped really well with circles which surprised me.

Thanks Sami - I'll have a look for that. Doing quite well so far. I've got a wooden egg cup, 2 fried egg rings (one metal, one rubber), a knitted monkey, a velvet scrunchie, a flannel, a wooden rattle, an old fashioned silver penguin teether which was Stu's, a wooden ring box. My Mum just emailed me to say she has loads of stuff from when she worked at a playgroup and they did similar things :T

My 'rules list' on the sure start leaflet says no plastic

I'm hoping my Mum has an old fashioned wooden peg though. Do they still sell them??
