£10.50 for dinner Glad  It reminds me of the Guardian's recent student food special where one of the meals was £22 for four people.

We have a pan of kaesespatzle with veg for dinner plus leftovers for lunch tomorrow, total cost about €3.

I think of myself as a savvy shopper ;) I save where I can so we can treat ourselves when we want :D

My intergestion would rival that of a stable of healthy horses. Wee Beastie seems intent on giving me tetanus though, she's constantly scratching me with grubby fingernails. Yes, I could wash her, but that seems to be missing the point.

We're much the same way Glad, but that amount on one meal we had to make ourselves would be a special occasion meal.

And how many children have you raised tod?

Lol Sami... How many tests did you fail?
just 2 and to be fair bar almost killing a cyclist I did fine on that 2nd one  after failing it I literally walked through the door at home and picked the phone up to book another, it was for 8 days later and I passed :D

Susan I'm too scared to cycle on the roads, drivers just don't look for/notice cyclist I find it  at least in a car you're protected by a big metal shell (that is all possibly totally irrational but meh! ;))

happy birthday BM and great news on the bag.

Tara - def not buget. For example, his 30 min roast uses a fillet of beef :rotfl: But I like the prog as its about a whole meal - not just a plate of food IYKIM. And I do think the 30 mins is realistica. He cooks it on tv in real time and I wouldn't find it a problem I don't think. It's good for inspiration and is (so far) all the style of food hubby nd I like, thought to be fair we both like most food :rotfl:

Glad - I can't wait to try that recipe. Its on this weeks meal planner :D  Haven't 'spoken' in ages, hope your well. It's nice to see you :D

good to see you too :D you've been off having babies while mine have grown up :o
I'm sure you remember my lovely DD :) well she's up in Glasgow Uni now and loving it

you'll love the chicken, are you doing the potato and feta cheese dish too? DS did it in the microwave like Jamie and it's one I'll do with other meals it was lovely :D

I've just made the southern fried chicken from the takeaway book!:D Didn't really taste like KFC though. Think I'll be a bit more generous with seasonings next time.

I'm going to get more into my cooking and baking again... if little madam lets me!

Daisy has actually taken a shine to Nigella when she's on TV!:rotfl:

I find cyclists to be a terrible chore , when I go out for my walks , they whizz past me at a very fast speed , and it gives me a shock.

IMO they should never be on a pavement
