DS girlfriend came round for dinner for the first time and he wanted to cook her that

    And did it go well?

The first thing I cooked for Husband was Thai coconut curry. He proposed almost as soon as he'd swallowed the last mouthful :D

Someone tell me about these little custard things!

Becles that is fab. Do you keep a record of these things somewhere (other than here!) for when she is bigger? She is priceless.

I should write them all down really. She has us in fits of giggles :D

The thing that annoys me the most is when people say right in front of Aimee "Can she have a <whatever>?" Because then I have to be the mean one to say no, when they could have just said nothing at all... Although I tend to be a lot more relaxed about things now...

I've had that before and it's annoying!

Sometimes Charlotte surprises people. Craig's Gran offered her a chocolate biscuit, but she'd noticed some banana's in the fruit bowl and asked if she could have a banana instead :D

Pleased the scan went ok xx

Pleased you got your bag back Buttons xx

I bought the takeaway book. We've tried lamb doner kebab and Big Mac's and they both tasted exactly like the takeaway versions *yum*

I placed an order with a German deli. It arrived today but some items were missing. I guess the wurst is yet to come.
Here I go again on my own....

More weaning questions (can you tell I'm carp in the kitchen!!) I steamed some sweet potato yesterday and put some in the fridge, Today I pureed it up with broccoli and T had it for his tea. There are 2 portions left. One will do for tomorrow's tea, will the other one keep until Weds, given that the sweet potato was cooked on Sun?

Also, when pureeing banana can I mash it up in the morning and keep it in a little pot until lunch time or is it better to serve immdiately?

    I don't like Jamie.

I do like his cooking. I just don't like him so can't watch his programmes sadly. I do have one of his books though.

When he first started (we're talking naked chef days all those many years ago!:o) he was ok but I feel he has become a bit too... oooo.... whats the word??? Sort of big headed??

*runs off before being shouted at by any Jamie lovers*:rotfl:

    Caz, you silly mare!

Still, better landing on your bum than being dragged along!

I think I have a childs riding hat somewhere at the parents house, forget the size ;)

Packed lunch stuff (MSE ;)) bought. Asda only had pink bed guards or highchairs half price today, boo suck!

Off to tidy up then get the kids ready for bawbaws.

It was my bag and all my stuff is in it :D Im away to phone the insurance and cancel the claim as they have a £200 excess and I'm just pleased as punch everything was handed in. Was found in the stairs 2 floors below me so I suspect someone nicked it got a scare and ditched it (maybe thought someone was chasing after them?)

A lady on the floor below (not evil hag) handed it in, Im going to go to thorntons and get her some chocs tomorrow, a nice card and she has a son about Keira's age so I'll get him a wee toy car or something, just to say thanks. Im ever so chuffed!!

Congrats Button on your bag being found!!!:j:j

Strange postings again or is it just me?

Yes the sweet potato should keep in the fridge until Wednesday... And banana goes that horrible translucent brown colour if it's left too long... If you don't want to use a whole banana, cut it in it's skin and it should keep, but for mashing, use it straight away :)

caz, glad your lesson went well! I bet you found it all coming back to you, eh? Even the pros fall off all the time ;).

smartie, I actually don't like Jamie either! He tends to annoy the carp outta me. I used to like him when I lived in the USA and he was this young upstart, but now he's too hoity-toity. I watched the 30 minute meals out of sheer boredom. :p

SS, tarts are Portuguese custard tarts...tons of cinnamon, custard base and caramel topping. Will dig on C4 website to see if the recipe is up.

We must be getting talked about again, look at all the new faces.

Jamie annoys me too, all that mockney smugness. But he's not as bad as Nigella *holding a grudge*
