MSE Parents Club Part 15

It bothers me that there is a poster who never misses an opportunity to post about how cliquey and unpleasant the PT is, which then means that parents who could benefit from the advice/support/sympathy/budgeting-with-a-baby that goes on here are put off, but whenever anyone challenges that poster the thread is immediately removed.
While we do lots of moneysaving stuff on here (topics today have included the Asda baby event and the reductions afterwards, cheap bread flour, fleece sleepsuit bargains, the cheapest options for nappies, how not to waste food and so on) it's not confined to that. We've also sympathised with sick babies and their parents, talked about altering sleep patterns with the hour change coming up, been excited for someone's scan and mad at her ignorant sonographer and a bunch of other stuff. I can see how people might be concerned till they start posting -- but it is untrue that we're mean or rude to newcomers and when our attempts to explain this are constantly being deleted it feels very off-putting. I know you're not the sole deleter, but it seems very glib to say, Just report the nasty posts, when the problem is a much wider one.
I'm sorry but however glib it sounds MSE policy is that members report abusive posts and do not discuss them in other threads, after pressing the abuse button there is an option to add more information if you want to give a better explanation of a problemI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I tried yesterday evening to calmly explain a few things yesterday in a calm way so that people would understand a few coments that had been made previously, and to have that all deleted was frustrating. Particularly as I had been very careful not to name any names or implicate anyone in particular, just explain why we became particularly paranoid recently
Particularly as a number of abuse reports were made about that particular situtation, and I've not received a response to mine (I don't know if anyone else had one?)
As SS said yesterday, this thread is a really important support to us all and we get very defensive of it because it makes such a difference to us.
there is a board to post threads that relate to forum rules and policies, but it is still better to email abuse with your concerns
if you take a quick look at the forum rules at the top of every page you'll find answers to other questions including
I reported something to abuse several hours ago, why haven't I had a reply yet?
The Forum Team rarely replies to a report, unless it's to ask for further details. If you've received an automated reply, then your report has been received, so please don't send further emails chasing the team up. The Forum Team doesn't have the time or resources to respond and for privacy reasons won't necessarily let you know what action has been taken.
Don't comment on reported posts in the thread.
Just report it and let the Forum Team deal with it, however much you feel justified to make a comment. If you do, action could be taken on your posts as well. Please don't quote the abusive post, as this causes the team more work.
We never contact people when their posts are deleted. The sheer numbers of posts removed every day means it's simply impossible to contact everyone.I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I like the sound of what's been mentioned all ready, but I'm not sure if I'd use it much or not. Any more info on the takeaway book that might convince me?

A lady on the floor below (not evil hag) handed it in, Im going to go to thorntons and get her some chocs tomorrow, a nice card and she has a son about Keira's age so I'll get him a wee toy car or something, just to say thanks. Im ever so chuffed!!0 -
