There'd be some very happy rodents around here I've we kept food out of the house - ick
The pasta is an a special sealed bucket. The apples are stored such that we'd hopefully notice attempts before they got to them but they'd have gone bad if we kept them in the house and with around 10kg I think we can afford to risk losing some.

My Nan used to have a massive chest freezer in her garage but only ever used the top baskets and just had bread in the bottom... I used to hate having to fetch loaves for her because the lid didn't open the whole way up and I was terrified I'd fall in lol...

We're only planning a small chest freezer, we're bursting at the seams with all the crap in this house as it is, think a large freezer would be a step too far...

And really irritatingly, a friend of mine gave hers to the tat man last week and there was nothing wrong with it...

It is scarily easy to buy books on the kindle!

We have a dishwasher... but no freezer :( never more than a week's worth of food in the house, barring some cupboard emergency stuff :undecided
I do have some chicken breasts and some mince in the freezer tray in the fridge I think, but that's all that'll fit basically! :(
I've often almost cracked and bought a freezer but we've nowhere to put it - would be corner of living room instead of a bookshelf or something equally crazy...

So you don't have mountains of lentils, rice, beans, wheat, flour dried fruit, nuts, tins and jars then?

We had no freezer the first few weeks we were married (until my Auntie gave us her old one) and I hated not being able to take advantage of special offers on meat and reduced items.

I probably would be crazy enough to have one in the living room.

I'm starting to look into Thomas's new carseat and could do with some advice. He's very tall and although his current car seat will do him until 13kg I think his legs will be over the edge and his head will be sticking above it before we get to that point. (I'm assuming this is a problem?!)

I've heard recommendations for the Britax First Class - are these the same but different colours?

I have a 10% off code which would bring them down to about the £90 mark - is that about as good as it gets (Somnium?)

I'm happy to consider anything else if anyone can recommend :)

Gill I have the Britax eclipse which is £10 cheaper and the only difference is that its forward facing only if you can wait until T is big enough. Its quite big and heavy though so would be better being left in one car. Its this one...

  • Gill - I have the Britax First Class, I've only ever used it forward facing though, I like it.

I have the trauma of choosing her next one that should hopefully last until she's 11! I forsee a trip to Mothercare for advice especially as my car has Isofix.

Been to the Church Christmas Fair, Katie had a go on one of the lucky dip stalls and out of 5 tickets won 3 prizes - a box of shortbread, a shopping list board and a box of Christmas cards.

Bah, hours ago we started the "what shall we have for tea?" discussion... Now it's 4:25 and Hubby just decided to go to the butchers... Oh what's that? They're closed? Who would have thought it...

Does anyone have more than one vertbaudet account? I'm wondering if I can get away with opening another one using a different email address so that I can get the free castle shape sorter!
