I would LOVE to have that much food on stock, Susan, but we don't (nor have ever had) the space! Whenever we own our first place, the first thing I'm doing it buying a chest freezer so I can store to my heart's content. :D

Boiler guys still here, we popped out for a coffee & some lunch. I want to them to finish mostly because I need to pee again but also because I need to do today's workout and the later in the day it gets, the harder it is to do (MUCH prefer mornings).

I'm starting to look into Thomas's new carseat and could do with some advice. He's very tall and although his current car seat will do him until 13kg I think his legs will be over the edge and his head will be sticking above it before we get to that point. (I'm assuming this is a problem?!)

I've heard recommendations for the Britax First Class - are these the same but different colours?

I have a 10% off code which would bring them down to about the £90 mark - is that about as good as it gets (Somnium?)

I'm happy to consider anything else if anyone can recommend :)

He was all :j this week because he finally cleared out all the old chicken bones he'd been saving till he had enough to make stock and we had some space in the freezer. I don't think he's processed that we need room for the actual stock :rotfl:
I only make stock when we have a whole chicken and do it straight away. You can reduce the stock right down though and freeze in an ice cube tray.

We don't really have enough space. We have pasta in the shed and a mountain of apples on the back doorstep. (Although in my defence we were given all the apples.)

It's when their head starts to go over the top of the seat that you need to move up - legs don't matter.

I recomend the Recaro Polaric because it's rear facing.

When I cook I tend to cook rather large quantities so if I didn't freeze lots of them we'd get fed up of having the same thing every day. If I do soup in the big slow cooker it's enough for about ten days. Space (or rather lack thereof) in the freezer is the thing which stops me cooking more.
My ultimate aim is to get a chest freezer and batch cook... We do have about 4 boxes of pasta sauce in the freezer but Caitlyn won't eat it which is a pain in the rear... But apart from that I haven't done any proper cooking for ages...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Gill I got my mum's first class for £70 from kiddicare, it was 3yrs ago tho so not sure you'd get it at that price now. to be honest though I would wait until his head is right at the top before looking, you might be surprised at just how long it takes for him to reach it, there is more choice of seats that only fwd face and they tend to be easier to get in the car and to get LO in. The first class is really cumbersome compared to my Maxi Cosi Tobi.
just in case though the maxi cosi rear&fwd facing seat is called the Opal, I think graco do one too but I personally will only get Britax or MC seats for everyday use :)

I'm afraid I am the same as krystal, I have some bolognese sauce in the freezer and a few bags of frozen veg that are all virtually empty, and that is it!!

Had a row with dh this morning, which led to me throwing a hissy fit and then doing a big furniture removals job downstairs...don't ask, but suffice to say I will be spending all my time in the dining room (2nd lounge/play room) from now on;) I am freezing today, need to send dh out for electric so I can stick the heating on for a bit, it will also get some clothes dried.

I really need to spend some time getting my head organised...I am trying to do too much and plan too much, without actually planning anything iygwim! My head is all over the place atm:(

Glad the meet went well and everyone had a good time:)

There'd be some very happy rodents around here I've we kept food out of the house - ick

I do have food on the kitchen floor in a bit of a pile though (in packets obv!)
I've got a 5kg potatoes , 3kg pasta, 20 tins of chick peas, tin of cocoa, bags of flour, bottles of oil....I have plenty space but I'm really disorganised.

I wouldn't have a chest freezer though, you can get those in those things :rotfl: I have many a memory of almost falling in the massive ones at work when I was a waitress!

We had a small chest freezer until Alice was a few months old and then we got a big upright one because all the milk had taken over.
