I love it, but battery life is poor, I'd say around 20-26 hours normal usage. That's including a few calls and texts, bit of browsing and push emails. I do use an app killer a couple of times a day too. Don't really play music, I haven't got round to moving all the pics and music across from my old phone yet so couldn't comment.
I had been using my OSF for nearly 10 days. I had recycled my 2yr old Nokia 5800 with fonebank to get 84 and put in my 80 quids for OSF.

My review is quiet brilliant. Dont expect the performance of a Desire or SGS. But for the money It is really really brilliant. I use it for push email (k9....always on push with 4 accounts), web browsing and reading novels, watching youtube videos and making around 2-3 hours calls everyday. Needs charging up every night but is not that the case with every smart phone out htere in the market today?
I dont hear music but use fm radio occassionally.

not sure if this has been posted, but play.com are going to start selling this phone for £99 this week, including the top up:

    http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/17454614/Orange-San-Francisco-Android-Pre-Pay-Pay-As-You-Go-Mobile-Phone-Inc-Free-10-Airtime-Grey/Product.html

Could be an option if you can't get any discounts to work

Thanks for this as I haven't got mine yet - I'm assuming I could go through Topcashback for their 3.54% cashback? This would bring the price down to £96.46 which is slightly better than going through TCB through Orange now.

    :)
I would love to be lazy but can't find the time:exclamati
  • Its the best phone for around £100.00 - If you have more money then buy a HTC or other

How can you compare it to an iphone at £400+

Read the reviews and make a decision but 2 weeks on and I'm chuffed with mine.

hello everyone, i am thinking of getting this orange san francisco phone but have a few questions and wonder if someone could kindly help me please.
    1. i'd like to use the phone for internet browsing, please may i know if it is possible to save pictures from a website visited via the phone and later transferring it to my computer when i get home?
    2. please may i also know if the pictures frm websites saved on the phone will have a good resolutuion? this is because i realise that when i save a picture with my current phone (old), the resolution and size of the picture is markedly reduced (from a 500KB picture to 25KB).
    3. i've read here that it is quite easy to unlock this phone. is this true? i've got a t mobile sim only and wish to use it on this phone. will this be possible?
    many thanks.

The answer to all your questions is yes, in theory. Might be a bit of a fiddle to save pictures but I'm sure its possible. Unlocking, otoh, is easy.

My 11 year old son is forever using my HTC Desire for the games such as as Angry Birds and Paper Toss. I'm thinking of getting him a San Francisco for Christmas. I know the SF wont be no where near as good the HTC Desire, but can it handle such apps adequately? Is it ok also for Mobile Facebook?
