It is possible you are starting the menopause - but I would ask your GP to refer you to a gynaecologist as there could be other reasons for these symptoms. Not saying you should worry - it could be something simple which is easy to sort out!
  • had the blood test results and apparantly my hormones are normal???? today i have had what i can only describe as a smudge of blood on the toilet paper but despite wearing a sanitary towel not enough flow for there to be anything on there!! im really sorry if thats too much information.

i suppose i still dont really know whats going on except that im not menopausal. other than that im no further forward.

ive had/got twingy crampy belly but nothing like the normal excruciating period pain i normally get.

i have been pregnant three times before and i do not feel pregnant at all.

oh well only time will tell. thank you for being interested xx

im now 52 days since last period

    Hey
could it just be tha you are late- I mean, I am 36, and I used to have very delayed periods through my late 20's/early 30's even though I felt I wodul come anytime ( I am talking up to 40 days)... this has got much better in the past few years thanks to my yoga practice and diet and i am now like clockwork, 30 days (31 at a push)- but this month I am already 5 days late and no sign of anything- and I know I am not pregnant- I think it is stress and having had quite a change in my routine in the last month. Plus, I think the season also have an effect on me...
Relax and don't worry too much- it is possible to be late without being pre-menopausal!!

affordmylife? I would still ask for a gynae consult. It was out of the norm for you, and you dont know why. It may be nothing, or it could be something simple like a fibroid or cyst..........both of which are harmless and easily dealt with. I dont want to scare you - but anything out of the norm SHOULD be investigated! just to put your mind at rest.
  • I was getting 'normal' blood results during peri-menopause too. Apparantly hormones can be normal one day abnormal the next and then normal again - so it is quite hard to catch them on an abnormal day at the start of menopause. A missed period was my first symptom and then no other symptoms for another year, and from then on irregularities just came closer together.

Hi All - Have a nasty cold, chest thing, so being lazy. Getting behind with the garden.

The menopace does help as I stopped it for a while & all the night sweat stuff came back, started it again & it stopped - so it helps with that for me. Feel a bit rubbish at the mo with the coughing thing but not too bad & pleased that we are getting milder weather.
    Hope everyone is fine.

Can I ask you ladies if any of you are using Bioidentical Progesterone Cream? I have just started using it and wondered if you found it helped? I am Peri but have PMDD (severe PMT) which is very debilitating every month. I only started the cream last week and had to get a private doctor to prescribe it as my own had to google PMDD and thought that prozac would be sufficient treatment (for a hormonal condition)
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!! :p
