  • I am coming up to my 45th birthday in a few weeks but i am opposite,i finished my period 1 week last Friday and on Saturday i started bleeding quite heavy and was in so much pain, also my bust have been quite sore of late.My SIL said she thinks it could be the menopause, so i went to see my doctor on Tuesday and she told me it's possible and that she would arrange some blood tests.
I am due to see my gynecologist next week so i should know more then hopefully.

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Hope things have eased for you nomuny. Difficult when things are tricky with kids (of all ages!).
Spinach soup update - FAB:D. Rose Elliott book - didn't have some of the stuff for it so my version is like this: serves 2
1 pkt spinach (half a pound)
    1 onion (used 2 shallots)
    1 potato (left skin on)
3/4 pint stock (used 1 veggie stock cube)
Saute chopped onions and chopped potato. Add spinach + stock. Simmer 20 mins until potato cooked. Blend. Add black pepper ( I added just a wee bit of salt because I don't want to hang on to my water retention issues!!). To each bowl, add some cream cheese mashed in a bit of milk. Now, I must say it is VERY green :D but don't let that put you off. Shykins - I wonder if it's worth a try and maybe get some proper cream to swirl through it to cut the taste a bit? I've got loads left for tomorrow.
Which of you dear menos suggested celery soup? thanks for the suggestion - I made that last week and ate loads of it. DD came round yesterday and copied out the recipe as she loved it too.
I've had a few almonds this evening as well. I keep my PMT food list handy as I keep forgetting what's good to have. Don't know if I'll be back to monthly heavy duties now but will try to just accept how it pans out. Having a glass of wine helps with the accepting;).
Anyone cold in bed? Shykins I know you like your hot water bottle. Well, with DH being away and me feeling cold on the 1st night, I put a blanket on top of my sheet last night, all folded up. I was cosy as pie all night. Will of course give the blanket a good wash at some point (!) but it's the one I use for a snuggle down on the settee sometimes and it dawned on me that it would be warmer than lying on a sheet. Have one more sleep before DH comes back, so the blanket is staying put tonight. Think we were supposed to be about -3 last night. There was still a heavy frost in the park at 9 this morning.
Enjoy your evening all and good sleeps to everyone tonight.

don't want to worry/give false hope but I had two negative tests when I was expecting twins. It was my fifth pregnancy (3 miscarriages) so I knew what it felt like to be pregnant and I was so sure I was. It is something to do with the pregnancy hormone being at a different level that is measured by tests.

    See the doc.

had the blood test results and apparantly my hormones are normal???? today i have had what i can only describe as a smudge of blood on the toilet paper but despite wearing a sanitary towel not enough flow for there to be anything on there!! im really sorry if thats too much information.

i suppose i still dont really know whats going on except that im not menopausal. other than that im no further forward.

ive had/got twingy crampy belly but nothing like the normal excruciating period pain i normally get.

i have been pregnant three times before and i do not feel pregnant at all.

oh well only time will tell. thank you for being interested xx

im now 52 days since last period
