Well doctors appt went better than i could have hoped, the doctor was very sympathetic and after I listed my symptoms I mentioned my mum felt that they matched hers when she went through menopause. The doctor didnt gasp and shake her head but she talked through the what and when of it all and agreed that im too young for menopause but I should have a blood test to give me piece of mind before we look into other possibilities.

i have a blood test monday, she has said that If my blood shows elevated levels of whatever it is they test for she will request another 6 weeks after to make sure its not a blip. I cried at this point - just because the thought of waiting at least 7 weeks for an answer seems so long. still at least im on the right path now :)

thanks, i will keep you all updated !

mishkanorman - i am pleased they have taken you seriously. i know exactly how you feel, at the time i felt my Dr would think my symptoms a bit odd for my age but he didn't and was actually quite good about it all.
i suppose your DR has said 6 weeks to do another one at a different point in your cycle?
Please let us know how you get on with this blood test.

(((hugs))) and cups of tea or something stronger to all our ladies.
Nomuny - it's horrible feeling so drained. I had some read meat which I hadn't craved for weeks but I couldn't stop thinking about it, so bought some, cooked and ate it. Yum yum. Also took the last Spa Tone pack I bought ages ago - it's an iron tonic in sachets which is gentle on the tum. You add it to orange juice.
Mishka - well done for going and seeing about it. A huge first and important step. I'm glad that your dr was good. try not think weeeeeks but just take things daily at the mo.
Been to see my DS today which was lovely. He is renovating his flat so we filled 2 bin liners of utter rubbish and had a good laugh and chat while we did it. Did some cleaning but didn't tire ourselves out ha ha. It was slightly misty where he lives and boy was my hair curly when I saw myself later. Doesn't take much for it to go boing these days.
Out with DD tonight for drinks and maybe something to eat. Won't be a late night as I don't seem able to do those anymore.
One thing that I've found helpful for wakeful nights is to use my lavender sachet. Of course I may have told you this. It's a bit small but is doing the job instead of a lavender pillow. I just stick it near my nose. I did switch the light on the other night though, woke DH and got him searching for my lavender sachet as well. He is very tolerant ;).
Have a good weekend all. Hope the sun shines for you but that you don't get too hot :D

Excellent news Nicky :T Lets hope once you've had some tests at the hospital that they're able to throw a bit more light on the situation, but good news for now that the bleeding has stopped :)

mishka I know 7weeks is a long time went you want some answers now, but at least you're Doctor didn't dismiss what you had to say, and you're heading in the right direction :)

Had a period myself on Monday. I seem to be going between 35-40 days between periods, but haven't actually got so that I miss one IYSWIM. So I've been even more shattered than normal all week and have been in bed by 7.30 most nights, not to sleep, just because I was simply too tired to remain sitting upright! lol, I've been quite pathetic :o but today I'm feeling more normal, thankfully.

Been very cold here this week, but clear blue skies and sunshine most days. Hallelujah!!! We've had waay more damp, drab, dreary depressing days than I can handle.

wmf Sounds like you've had a lovely few days with your DS & DD - I know what you mean about late nights though. I can't do them anymore either.

Am pleased for you Nickybat. Hoping you will get some energy back now. There will be no stopping you!
Hippee - sorry to hear you are so exhausted. You're doing the right thing by heading off to bed. I find that when I feel like that, there is no point in trying to keep to a 'normal' routine as I end up feeling sick as well as tired!
I had respite from the sore b00bs for only a few days after my period and am again raging with hormones. It's a bit pooh as turning over in bed is sore! I'm going to read up again about the stuff to eliminate from my diet which alledgedly helps with water retention. Think coffee has to go (no great biggie) and I have a feeling alcohol is not so great.
hhhmmm - check the time ladies! Was tired and went to bed about 11, woke and peered at the clock at 12.30, 1.30 and then 3 when I got up. I've had some hot milk and hot oat milk (my new thaaang) and 2 digestives because the packet looked so tempting. Beginning to yawn again now so will head back and see what happens.
    Keep on keeping on all

wmf - do you wear a bra in bed? I found that was the best solution to the 'turning over in bed hurts the boobies' syndrome.

OH and I spent most of the week decorating our bedroom (we moved in 10 years ago and it was the last room to be done, we had new beds (2 x singles - we're both obese and it seemed two beds would be structually better able to cope than one, plus, 2 mattresses means I don't bobble about like a beach ball on a bouncy castle when he turns over :) ) he's not sleeping because his struggling to adjust to his new mattress, and we're both knackered from all the activity :(
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I seem to have hit the waking mega early too Wmf & just can't really get back off to sleep - so lie there tossing & turning, waking up OH.

I am not having muck luck losing weight but am really not eating a lot at all & am using sweetners in tea coffee & I don't drink fizzy drinks. I ache, my knees are really bad, difficult getting up & down but trying to get on outside. I'm going to try & walk a lot more, walk to the PO to post my ebay stuff & see if that helps.

    Be kind to yourselves menos.
