    Hiya all out there,

Quite a bit of snow about & the hens are all cowering under the caravan chattering away - they'll get a bit of heat travelling down there from the stove - they are not as daft as they look.
I hope it is not going to be like last Winter which went on & on for months & getting animal feed became a real white knuckle carry on.

Bronnie I did have a giggle at your techie post as it is what I would of done too. I know so little about 'puters I have a right ole time trying to work somethings out. When I was trying to do the ebay thing I was nearly throwing tantrums in frustration.
Did you know that some people put on dirty laundry & sell them. I was learning loads of things on another thread. My t'is a strange world out there...........

Joyful - we do always have a kettle on the stove & I do make soup & boil tatties & things on there - easy to have a pan on there bubbling away. I also have washing strung up - have a little rope/cord & an airer - clothes horse. Bit cramped in here - stand up & you knock something over.

My legs are sore today especially my knees - I think it's all the sitting about. Can't really do much out there, although I'm just going totake up some hay to the sheep & have a check about.
Keep warm & cosy & try & spoil yourselves a little if you can.

    Hiya Menos ,

Feeling all beseiged by the snow. Stuck indoors as too risky to visit OH 10 miles away. Choille, bet you're having it 10 times worse but hopefully huddled by the fire awash with piping cups of tea!

Shykins - OMG how's the camber sand visit? Could be a real adventure or a Bit of a Nightmare in the cold. Tell all.

Staggered out just now to deliver last few avon orders. It's all walkable and all my customers are on my Park Home site. Just has fresh fall of snow so dragged my trolley like a sledge. Got invited in for a non alcoholic mulled wine. Ooooooh it was really nice but gave me The Most Enormous Hot Flush. I sat in their front room with rivers of sweat cascading down my neck & back - mmmm lovely.... Still feeling chilly from the flush/chill effect.

Felt about 90 y'day trying to walk around on the ice. Have to track down a bale of hay for rabbit. I hear it's doubled in price. That'll be an adventure, down some country lane.

Hope you're all doing OK Marvellous Menos. :A

    Hi all,

    A co;d one again.

Good for you joyful veturing out with all the Avon stuff. People will need it for Christmas possibly.

I walked up to the wee shop & it was really freezing with the breeze strong. I felt pretty stiff with all the extra layers on too - could hardly bend.

Good to get back & get a hot cup & a read at the apper - was surprised they'd got through.

Have a headache todaay & feel quite fed up with all the coldness & draging water about.

Have an ill elderly cat so phoned vet yesterday & amazingly the meds arrived in the post today - incredible.

Gonna get some water boiled & wash my hair - oh I would love a bath, dream of having a bath but will have to wait for that treat.

    Take care all.

    Hi Shykins & All,

So glad you've survived the trip. Crikey deluxe, how nice. My usual visit to boyfriend at the w/e has been scuppered. I set off at 8am today and turned back after 2 miles. The roads were frozen slush and awful. Even 4x4s were creeping along.

I dug out a dvd of the film Brassed Off that someone gave me ages ago & watched it on the 'puter this afternoon. Oh, what a great film. I blubbed and giggled my way through it & got all nostalgic. All that community spirit & northern grit.

Choille - hope the headache has gone. Hows the cat doing? I'm struggling to keep my place warm (Mobile home). Dug out the calor gas heater y'day to give things a blast.

I hope this weather melts a bit next week or peeps' xmas travel will be a nightmare. I'll be living on cheese sarnies and banana custard if I don't make it to b/fs house for xmas. Oh well in some parts of the world that would be a feast!

Tuck up cosy and keep the spirits up.

Hi All - Notha cold one here - coldest I've felt it. One hen dead in the house which is a shame as she was a good hen.

I've got a cracking headache still.

Joyful I'm sat here with a fleece jacket on & my hat & scarf- it's really cold & the stove is not banging the heat out for some reason.
OH has gone up to a neighbours - they are elderly & are having problems with their heating:eek: OH phoned me to ask me to walk up but I declined as I would have to change into cold clothes & I don't feel like venturing out in that again today.

We are supposed to have a bit of a thaw on thursday & then it's to come in really bad on Saturday - but I don't think the roads have improved since yesterday. Hope you get a bit of heat - calor gas is damp that's the only thing - our cooker is CG & the bottle is outside & the regulator freezes all the time - we have to pour a kettle of hot water on it before being able to use the gas. Do you get incredible ice on the inside of your windows?

Hope you all are as warm as can be & don't venture out if you don't need to. I wonder if all the young things will be out on the town in their flimsies this Winter. I've got that many clothes on I can hardly walk.
    Take careX

    hi ladies.

Hope you're keeping as cosy as possible. Plenty of warm drinks if it's chilly at least.

I'm a bit peed off as woke up this morning with a frozen shoulder type feeling on one side, up neck and down arm....completely out of the blue, haven't even exercised this week so can't be a strain. Must have slept awkwardly, but it's been a real nuisance today, can't raise my arm to put my hair up and hurts when I turn my head. Leaned up against the radiator to get some heat on it, and have been to work as normal and got DD to rub one of those wooden massager things over it. What a nusiance. I'm very intolerant of not being 100% well. get terribly impatient with myself, would make a terribl;e patient!
    GGGRRRRR!

dogcat, glad you had a nice weekend with your DD. I love Scrabble! I believe you can play online, don't know where though, must seek out, that would be good for me!

choille, what's with the headache, it's not your CG heater / cooker causing it is it? What a shame about the chuck. Was it the cold, a fox or inexplicable?

Joyfull i hope the weather is ok for xmas travel too, although someone told me more snow for Thurs . the A55 (N Wales road) was horrendous the day the snow came down. Will be watching the forecast very carefully and planning ahead where possible. Maybe make sure you've got bottle of "something" in to turn those cheese butties and banana custard(YUM) into a party, should the worst happen!!

shykins, glad your little jaunt went well, a free upgrade is always nice isn't it and good you were toasty warm!

Need to drag myself away from the fire to the shower, don't feel like peeling off the scarf I've had tucked round my neck all day, but here goes.....BRRR!

    nighty night all!
