morning hope everyone had a good christmas. the increase in booze had a subsequent increase in flushes but decided it was worth it lol. some people say they go on for years ugggh. i want to avoid the HRT route as long as i can but can see if its so bad u cant manage that there is no other option

now have the dreaded lurgy so tonights outing has been cancelled as we both feel truly dreadful. still on the bright side its stopped me being a piggy which i have been

joyfull i cannot sit at the computer at all hence i have a laptop on my lap and laid down so i can post. any sitting for a length of time increases the back pain so be careful

hope eveyrone has a great new years eve whatever they are doing

    Morning menos,

Crikey I feel sluggish today. I took some sleeping pill last night, that's prob why.

Shykins, do hope u are feeling better. Xmas is always a buggy time because we're all cooped up together spreading germs. They had the norovirus at mum's nursing home over xmas and almost everyone, staff and residents got it, twas as nightmare for them. We were't allowed to visit (thankfully!!). Finding out today if it's gone and visiting is now allowed.

Flushing is bad atm. Spoke too soon on an earlier post. Enough! enough!

Choille - hope you're doing ok up there. Must be a bit of relief as the temp is slightly warmer. Any more ebay sales in the pipeline? I pop in to see your blog now and again and enjoy it. Hope the electric blanket is giving comfort. I've gone all the way and have a heated pad and a heated throw! My bunny likes to chew the wires eek.

A new year dawns menos. I'm certain we'll l show our wonderful strength and wisdom despite the challenges.

    Hello Joyful,

Sorry to hear of your mum's illness. These things go round places like that really fast - hope she's better & you can go see her soon.

I'm sorry that the flushing is bad for you atm - that's a pain & quite wearing. I hope that eases.
Yes - the weather is much milder, absolutely pouring down all night & still is but it isn't snow & ice. The noise of rain on the caravan roof all night was really loud drumming. I feel half awake. The electric blanket is brilliant - why didn't we do this before I don't know. The cats sleep on the bed & probably claw at wires too.....
I am going to list stuff on ebay later today & also look at Green Metropolis someone mentioned on another thread - good for books apparently. I am going to try & get some /any spare pennies I can scrape together this year. Must get the house finished this year.

    All the best.

    Hello everyone,
I hope you are all feeling bright and well.:D

It snowed here slightly this morning....we were due for some more this afternoon, but luckily we've had none as yet!

Had to brave town today to get my youngest DD some new school trousers...was manic. Not something I would want to do too often.;)
So I wonder what 2011 will bring us....looks like a lot of doom and gloom....:eek:but we must be positive.
Happy New Year to you all whatever you're up to.

Hmm! After few months' lull, the arrival of a New Year Surprise yesterday will be putting off the date of reaching my official Menopause to 2013 at the earliest :rotfl:

    Morning Menos,

dogcat - you'll be getting used to a bit more space for yourself with family off on their studies. This year could certainly be interesting, specially on the money front. Good job so much of what's good in life is free. I did a little gardening on tuesday, just removing frost damaged undergrowth. It was fun.

Bronnie - hows the exercise thing going? or has it gone!

choille - thanks for your good wishes. Flushing, once again, easing. On, off - on off.... Crikey earning pennies, yes.. the price of petrol is seriously worrying. Living in rural kent, I have to run a car & I now work out the cost in petrol whenever I go anywhere. My Avon brings in very little, but an important 'very little'. Will you realistically get your house finished this year? I guess most of the work has to be done in the drier, warmer months.

shykins - do hope you're feeling better?

Did a pile of washing & it's full on raining & will be for the rest of the day grrr! Now have it draped round heaters. New neighbour just moved into another (illegally) newly sited mobile home opposite. I might go & say hello today . Seems to be an elderly single man with a large alsatian (don't think I'll be flogging much Avon to him, the man not the dog!) .

Enjoy the day if you can. Take any excuse to relax, it eases things along nicely......

i just dont LOOK at the price ofpetrol, dh fills the car for me so i dont even look at the bill either. ignorance is innocence lol

    Morning ladies!

haha joyfull, you know me too well!

In fairness, my classes did peter out just before Christmas, with hardly anyone turning up, times changing etc. Have got to grips with sensible eating since Tues after being very silly and slothlike over xmas, so you have prompted me to head off to the gym this morning now to pick up a new timetable! Actually do have a lot of paperwork I gneuinely need to sort out by the weekend, so that's the task for today and tomorrow before I go to work!

Petrol is horrendous. I do a 40 minute motorway drive 6 days a week for work and even though I drive a fairly economical car, the cost of filling-up is shocking. I do not however buy a lot of "stuff" for house or clothes and of course foodwise, the healthy good-for-us stuff is 0%VAT. I'm afraid I'm not going to be the one spending to prop up the economy. I will be looking at second-hand VAT free bargains where necessary and possible this year (as last, but more so!).
