Hi All - Hope you are in for the day & warm. I'm an idle devil, just dragging myself outside to tend to the animals & hunched over the stove.
Katie - I have taken glucosimine for months & I am aching but maybe I would be worse without it. I also take fish oil. i keep meaningto get some with the chrondite [sp?} that's not how you spell it or even pronounce it - sorry my brains mush at the moment.

My OH birthday in the next few days & I haven't got him anything - because of the weather I suppose.

Sorry you're not having it good joyful. It must be hard in this weather doing the Avon stuff. Pavements are hard on the legs & feet. If we go into Inverness I'm killed the next day - not used to pounding pavements - usually up to my knees in mud - well snow & ice at the moment.
I think I could do those dirty phone calls - just have to moan into the phone like I do when I stand up & feel the ole knees & hip creaking. What do you reckon?

My Mother is in residential care & I think it's about that amount. My parents scrimped & saved & it's quite shocking really. But she is getting really well looked after & the staff are amazing. I don't get down to see her that often as it's a few hundred miles away but she doesn't know me at all, doesn't know anyone. It's not a time I look forward to - which sounds awful. It is easier in a way now than when she first started to become confused. She is less fraught than when she was in the know - It is an awful disease & let's pray that we will not get it.
There was something on the telly this morning about an Oxford study about women becoming invisible when they reach 45 & how there is a wall of silence about th emeno - I shouted out 'not on here there isn't.' or words tothat efect.

Keep warm & if you can stay in do.
    All the best.

Choille, that's hilarious. :T I cackled out loud - COL :rotfl:.. I think there's some thread on this site about making money that way. Perhaps Martin will let us merge threads. Not!!!! Can you imagine those sexy young things letting us menos loose on their clients. ;)

Yes, Joyful I think I'll check that out. Work from the caravan - sat here in my old tracky bottoms & OH's baggy jumper, my hat & fingerless mits on - dentures still in the jar.
Geeeeeeeeeee - I can see the cold is getting to me.

I just decided to do a fridge raid - as I do... Started guzzling evaporated milk, out of the tin, and because the denture was out, dribbled it down my front . It landed on 4 items of clothing. What a mess.

OMG meno land is falling apart tonight! ;)

Apparently you can make your 'professional' name by using the name of your first pet & your mother's maiden name.

Mine is Tinker Taylor - which sounds pretty groovey if you ask me.
