Has anybody ever tried one of these Yantra mats? Linda Nolan endorses it and was talking on This Morning yesterday about how she believes it has resolved her insomnia problems.

I have just read the whole of this thread and I have just had so many things made clear. I was thinking I was just having hot flushes and sleeping problems, but now so many other things have become clear to me too. All the anxiety, the mood swings, the extreme tiredness etc etc.
Thank you everyone :T0 -

Me too! I genuinely didn't realise that I was menopausal until I read this thread.
Just think of the money I might have wasted on tonics and prescriptions and over the counter sleeping aids if I had never realised!;)Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -

It's strange isn't it? I didn't give it a thought (and I'm older than most of you) until this time last year when my new GP asked me how I was getting on with the menopause. No symptoms for me though except for the weight around the middle thing. Sometimes I feel like an interloper here :rotfl:, however, forewarned is forearmed!!0 -
Hello :hello:
So pleased I've found you all:j I feel 'normal' now :rotfl:
I'm 48 end of next week and feel 88 some days.
It started to be a bit much for me back in January, 3 months of migraines, not something I got usually, so off to docs to make sure it was something nasty with my brain, only to be told its my hormones
March to May continually 'on', then spent May to September worrying that I was pregnant:eek: not to mention, memory like a sieve, hot flushes, ratty and worrying about stupid things that were never going to happen:o September normal again, but nothing since excepts I'm now on day 15 of no sleep due to night sweats, several times a night, bit like taking a shower in bed:mad:
Cant have HRT as I've had breast cancer in my early 30's so left with herbal stuff, trying lots of different things but nothing has helped so far with the night sweats.:(
Thanks for the link on the first post really good forum where I can ask all the medical questions I need, but its really nice just read everyones posts here, lots of helpful info too.
Sorry for long waffle:o0 -
Joyfull - I'm shocked at the housing situation. I hadn't heard about that before.
Well it snowed today. I was sleeping a bit better but last night woke up really suddenly. massive thunder storm - could not get back to sleep -it was only 12.20pm & had to be away really early to pick neighbours up from the airport. Felt half asleep all day & a bit woozy. Going to try & stay up late & hopefully get a decent sleep - doubt it though as it's hammering hail stones on the caravn roof.
I stopped smoking in February & thought the weight gain was that! How thick am I? I have never weighed as heavy. At first I thought my trousers had shrunk! And have never dieted in my life. Have never needed to. I bought scales the other week as I have never owned them before. I'm taking sweetners in my coffee & trying to resist buscuits. I am pretty active having the animals & spend a fair bit of time outside lugging dead wood up fields. I have been more sloth-like this Summer though - weather not been great but also not felt great either. Just hadn't thought it could be 'that time of life'!
I am aching all over & my knees & hip aches have been accompanied by sore feet - this new & I don't like it one bit. My heels & feet are really sore in the mornings & when I get up out of the chair or out of the car. I feel old. This is not fair.
The anxiety has really waned a great deal - thank goodness as that was reallly unpleasant - so that is a plus & also makes me feel hopeful that other nasties will subside.

hiya Annie 123 - welcome fellow sweater! Wot is it like eh?
I thought i'd loose some weight with all this sweating......but no!
Don't have poly cotton anywhere near your skin as it just acts like a plastic bag.
Last few nights I've been better but last night back to sweating away all night - duvet pushed off & on, off & on, hair sticking to my head.
I haven't had a full night's sleep for weeks but the anxiety has lessened considerably. thankfully.0
