I bought a Sumvision Cyclone Micro from Dealtastic last week. Instead of Sumvision Cyclone they send me another brand. When I query this, they said it another line from Sumvision.
When I mention to a mate in the IT trade, he said it well known Dealtastic is selling FAKE Sumvision products and pass on as an original.
Now I have to await for my refund....0 -
I'm having a bit of a mare with this company and any advice would be appreciated.
Bought two items from them - one was damaged, one I just don't want now.
They are insisting I have to pay the original postage and the cost of returning the items to them, even though they never told me that before I bought. It's not a lot of money, but that's not the point.
I have a chain of emails with them and they say the DSR Regs don't apply to them (correct) but the relevant Jersey law does (which is largely the same as the DSR, including the refund on postage). -
"Thank you for your email. We do not have returns authorisateions.
If you wish, please could you return this to: Dealtastic customer services, Attique House Business Centre, la route des Quennevais, St. Brelade, Jersey, JE3 8FP and we can check it for you and if it is faulty and offer you a replacement if the item is in stock or a refund. We can refund standard postage on a faulty item, if it is not clear from the stamps, please enclose the receipt of postage.
Please could you enclose your contact details in with the return. Please note that we cannot refund the postage if an item is not faulty.
Thank you very much for your patience."
Am contacting Jersey Trading Standards, but my advice would - do NOT deal with them.0 -
I am waiting for two orders from this company. Neither arrived in the time specified and now they say one is "lost". They are refunding, so they say, but I won't use them again unless they can promise to deliver!!0

I bought from them earlier in the year and my order never turned up. Eventually got a refund. I notice that they now have a new business ledhut.co.uk operating from the same address. All part of the infamous jonathan ruff zoombits / memorybits / empire apparently, also found this: bitterwallet.com/are-zoombits-in-trouble-after-60-sale-ask-customers/355790 -
Hi Nannon,
I ordered a freeview topbox for my tele on the 19th August. On the 2nd Sept I received a parcel from them, I thought at least it has arrived!! but on opening it I found a potato peeler - the last thing I need (I already have one and its called a wife) but looking on the paper work the invoice was for a freeview topbox!. I emailed them told them the story and requesting an immediate refund, two days later my refund was made and a request on when could they pick up the spud peeler. Got my refund but will not be using them again.

Hi,
Seems I'm in the minority here but I've purchased a number of items from Dealtastic - and they have all turned up - and been as described.
My last order was for some fireworks. These arrived 6 days after ordering. A while back I purchased a radar detector. This appeared to be faulty and I emailed Dealtastic. The lady explained that they did not have a returns policy at the moment and that I should throw it away and they would reimburse me, which they did.
If I understand correctly Dealtastic previously traded as MemoryBits and I also bought a number of items from them. I was a bit unhappy with one of my purchases, a camera battery. The capacity was clearly marked on the battery - but was less than what they advertised and for which I had paid. I emailed them to express my disapointment and they said they would amend the listing. Whether they did or not I don't know.
Incidentally lots of the items Dealtastic sell can be bought on the Internet for similar prices from other suppliers. So if you do see an item for sale at Dealtastic that you have an interest in - do a Google. Typical items are the Vivitar binoculars they were selling recently. These are also being offered by others on the 'net for similar prices.
And finally - I am in no way connected with Dealtastic and those who have had bad experiences with Dealtastic have my sympathy. I merely wish to record my own experience with this company.

Like the above poster - ordered loads of stuff and it has all turned up - some a bit slow but all arrived.
Even got an e-mail stating there would be a delay and here use this discount code for future buys.0 -
I ordered an orange juicer via Dealtastic. I received 2 roasting pans. I immediately informed them of the error and they eventually replied, but stated that I had to return the item myself. I would have to go to the Post Office and pay for the postage (which they claim would be refunded). I have refused to return this item via this method as it was their mistake.
Obviously, I still haven't received the item that I actually ordered. I have now cancelled this order and requested a refund of my credit card payment. Somehow I don't think that I will get my refund.
From my experience - Don't use Dealastic0 -
I received my item from Dealtastic, a mirror, in good time. However it was chipped so I contacted them about returning it. They said that was fine so I posted it off, with proof of postage etc etc.
Now they are asking me to send a photograph, even though they actually have the real thing in front of them. If I don't provide a photo all they will give me is a credit note which I don't want as I wuill never shop with them again.
Their website actually states that in the case of faulty goods, a full refund will be issued ( I checked this before I bought).
I am now contacting Trading Standards.0
