@54druids, I have now 'followed' you via Twitter. I'm still unhappy about forking out for another Dave the Stupid Monkey just in case this one turns up and/or they don't give me a refund. I've told them I will be taking them to the small claims court if they don't give me a refund, so we'll see what that does. If they don't cough up, it's legal advice and to court with them!0

@annieboo take it that was your handiwork on FB as well so dabbled myself but alas it seems to have disappeared this morning what a surprise! Try WHsmith for the funky monkey - that is where my hubbie picked it up.Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

Yep, surprisingly it has disappeared on FB without any member of them team addressing our issues. How odd.
I am tempted to leave the same message every evening because no one from the marketing team will be online to check it :rotfl:
Also, Kevin has not telephoned me or got back to me yet although he did vaguely promise me he would.
I'll keep at it. They've met their match with us!
I'm gonna scour the internet for their office number. I cannot believe there isn't one!!0 -
Update: I have just spoken to Kevin who assures me that a refund has been done for me. Woohoo! So hopefully it will show up in my bank statements in three days time.
I don't think I will ever be using dealtastic again, for all their 'we're a new company' excuses, doesn't really cut it with me. There are hundreds of start up companies who don't have such sloppy service, both customer-wise and actually delivering on the item!0 -
@annieboo well you are lucky, perhaps if I wish hard enough KEVIN will call me and tell me I am getting a refund and explain the discrepancey between his version of events and his customer services - honesty is the best policy and communication is the most precious company tool you could ever have. Dealtastic should take a look at the viewing figures for this site and realise what a friend and a foe this site can be. How is everyone else getting on?Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

No reply to my e-mail of last night so I've sent another one today giving them another chance to refund before I put the Court paperwork in. I don't think I'll get a refund from them though.
Kevin reckoned he'd tried to call me on Monday, but I've had no missed callas and, to be honest, I don't recall leaving my phone number on the site anywhere. I've had no further PM's from him either.
Incidentally, I was in town today and one shop had about half a dozen Dave the Funky Shoulder Monkies, so I guess they're not that popular in Norfolk!0 -

Firstly, thanks to annieboo for the PM. As it turns out I may not need it, but that remains to be seen.
Went shopping today and came home to an e-mail from someone at Dealtastic (not gonna post up his name here, but it wasn't Kevin) saying that a refund had been issued and I should see it on my account in 48 hours. We shall see.
Interestingly (and this did make me chuckle) chap-from-Dealtastic went on to say, "Secondly, on behalf of us all at Dealtastic, I would like to apologise for the non-receipt and to confirm that should your purchase arrive, please accept it with our compliments to compensate you for the inconvenience." Yeah, OK then! Kinda assumes that you posted it in the first place! (You watch, the damnable thing will arrive tomorrow making me look a right tit!)
So, I guess I'll see if the money's back in my account next week. Fingers crossed!0 -

Although the fat lady hasn't sung yet, so although they've promised us a refund, they may be bluffing. So I'll be checking my bank account tonight and Monday to see if I've been refunded.

Thank you to everyone who has warned about this. I placed an order 6 days ago and the money has been taken from my account but nothing received yet despite their claim that most goods are delivered within 2-5 days. Therefore, in view of your experiences, I decided to cancel my order (stating my right to cancel within 7 days under the distance selling regulations). I have also alerted my bank, who have advised me about the refunding process.
Naively I thought that because this company were on Quidco this made them definitely legit but it appears this may not be the case. I won't make that mistake again!
