  • Just had a delivery on Monday for 1000 litres at 35.6p plus vat in East Anglia
  • Watsons just quoted 37.5p +VAT for 900 ltrs+
  • 13 December - Cornwall. We`ve no mains gas so the gas fire in the living room runs on 47 kg. propane cylinders. The Flo-gas price is £53 and has NOT CHANGED since 3 June 2008. The fire emits 1.5 kW of useful heat and the cylinder lasts 300 hours so it costs nearly 18 p an hour. The equivalent cost of running an electric fire is 15p normal rate and 7p night rate. When will the LPG suppliers get the message? Or when will the politicians take an interest?
  • I just paid £56 for 47kg cylinders and was told they had held the price down where it should now be £60 (price from west wales gas) my local supplier stopped dealing with flogas after they were taken over by British Gas. I would hate to think what calor are charging for their gas cylinders and of course they tie you into rental for the cylinders too.

Big range of prices today - heating oil.co.uk 33p (but don't deliver in our area) Countrywide 40p but best I could get was 36.31 from Total Butler, most of the others were quoting 38p.

Also there is very little capacity for delivery before 5th Jan so if you're running low get ordering to avoid a chilly christmas.

Rats, I paid 39.5p + VAT with them at the end of Nov (South Devon). Should've waited a couple of weeks maybe. Oh well, at least we know we'll be warm over Christmas (but want a log delivery before then too!)

    Hi
I currently order 2 bottles at a time from Calor direct (not on a contract) and I pay £87.49. I am thinking of ringing round to get a price for an order of 10 bottles.I think you have to play one off against the other to get a better rate. If there are a number of residents on propane/lpg then I suppose you would have a stronger negotiating power.Bottles seem to cheaper....is this correct?
    Regards
