By who and where?
Edit - the quantities you're buying in are probably larger than most folk want?0 -

58ppl from my supplier today
Still waiting for my delivery at 49p.
It is really difficult catching it at a good time, because prices chage daily!
I am now set up for the winter, with logs and coal (for the Rayburn) and oil for central heating.
Trouble is, I'm scared to start using any of them!0 -
Does anyone know which is cheaper to run - panel heaters or oil filled radiators? My daughter lives with her small son in a two bedroom flat and wants a bit of portable heat just for an hour or two in the evening. Any ideas?0

Assuming those are both electric-powered (so you're in the wrong forum really) they should be the same, as electricity is 100% efficient for heating.

Just had a look at boilerjuices min price chart, the price seems to be as low as 42ppl. Who would have thought that back in the summer?
I pity those people that bought at top price because they thought it was going to keep going up. I almost wish I had an empty tank so I could fill it upLuckily its got about 600 litres left, so the choice is out of my hands and I'm hoping to make this last the entire winter.

I have been checking oil prices over the last 11 days and at the moment a website called heatingoil.co.uk is the cheapest at 39.26pence per litre qouting on a 1000 litres. By comparison boilerjuice.com are quoting 53.3pence. That is quite a difference.
HAS ANYONE USED HEATINGOIL.CO.UK? They require payment upfront.0 -
Yes, used heatingoil.co.uk a few times. No problems whatsoever. Where I am, their deliveries come from Bayfords. No idea if that is always the case.
The best/cheapest option with them is to ask for delivery on any day up to a certain date in the future. There is a tickbox to ask for an SMS the day before delivery is scheduled, but it doesn't usually happen.0 -
How is the price for oil CH? Has it come down yet?0

Well bit the bullet today, according to two of the comanies I phoned who have no relationship to one another they advised to order by next Monday as Oil going to be scarce owing to reduction in production, so ordered today for Monday delivery at 41.5p plus vat for 900 litres or over. Only got two to three inches in tank, and it is one hundred pounds cheaper than it was four weeks ago, having said that, it is still one hundred pounds dearer than it was this time last year, near enough anyway. We are in Anglesey, North Wales. Bought it locally from a smaller company as the larger companies were two or three pence more!!!
Fed up with the whole dam thing ! oap0
