Things are loads better here. Today we decided not to venture out because of the snow so DD and DGD came here for lunch and DGD entertained us for a few hours.

I am not sure if I mentioned it a week or so ago we got up to find a crate with 5 hens in it, in the middle of our lawn in the back garden. My neighbour who has a good vantage point saw them being delivered very early. I did have a friend of DB ask me on Fbook if we could rehome five hens. I said I thought so but would get back to him. He said they are good layers.
We have kept them separate from our hens for a week in a separate pen. Tonight just after dusk Mr P put them into the hen house with our hens. They seem bigger than ours, a different breed, two brown, two white and a black one. DGD has named the two white hens as Anna and Elsa and the black on is Charlie. More mouths to feed so they had better start laying soon......

I was given a 400g ball of wool at knit and natter in a lovely heather purple so I ordered a second ball from deramores for just over £10. I am knitting a jacket/cardigan for myself and thought i might like a purple one too.

Mrs next door gave me some veggie sausages and falafel.

We have had a lot of gifts recently. We are really very lucky to have such good neighbours. Oh and our other neighbour brought some lettuce and tomatoes she couldn't eat. Sometimes when you live alone a pack is too large and food could be wasted.

DS2 continues to improve a tiny bit each day. I can see the difference. Thank God

I don't know where the last few days have gone. DS2 has been getting up a little earlier. I have had more help from carer's group. They have organised for me to go yo a day spa. DD is taking me out for a treat to a private swimming pool and then to lunch after. MrP is going to join us for lunch and hopefully DS2
If not I do understand. He actually played on the X box last night so another improvement. He hasnt played it dince about August last year.

Finances continue to be tight but we paid another £500 off a garage bill. We are throwing every dpare penny at them.
Oddly the cottage is empty until Saturday. I advertised it on ebay. Had 32 watchers but no sale. It means we can get some maintenance done. I know a few spots where it could do with some new paint.
