Asda Complaint unhygenic item in bag..

"I totally agree - the OP was expecting MORE - wouldn't you? As she said, a £2 voucher would have sufficed for her. Personally I would have expected all the contents of the contaminated bag replaced immediately without further inconvenience as a minimum. a £10 voucher or decent bottle of wine would have shown that they cared, even if really they didn't. Lets remember, this is not something that should be in the item like a slug in a lettuce or caterpillar in a tin of tomatoes."
If this is the post you're referring to - the point I was making was more than an apology. It was actually aimed at all the unsympathetic or should I say pathetic people out there - you included!0 -

But it looks as though I was right and you were wrong.
Thank you all for the fun - you've made my day pass quicker and made me want to go back to work - back permitting, I'll be working tomorrow, so you can all play together. Thanks, for the fun, but despite it being addictive, I think I'll give it a miss. Happy wind-ups!0 -

How was i wrong - The OP wanted far more then the apology they got. You have taken it too far to seriously as other peoples opinions have not agreed with you..one of the famous 5

Hmm, really? OCD is an unpleasant affliction for sure. Helped enormously by SSRI antidepressants and cognitive behavioural therapy. It would appear to be straying into dangerous territory to suggest that those with a treatable mental health condition are somehow more 'entitled' than others. Sorry to be unsympathetic, but we all have to take responsibility for our own health. Stop being a victim!"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
A difficult question.vikingaero wrote: »If I I got some chewing gum stuck on my shopping how much compo should I get? Same scenario and I have OCD. Should I get more?
It's like who should get the harshest punishment - the drunk-driver who crashes into a bus stop 1 minute after the bus has gone and no-one is injured or the drunk-driver who crashes into a bus stop 1 minute before the bus gets there and a queue-full of people are injured.
Is it the offence itself that should be punished, or the effects of the offence?
[I'm obviously not equating the seriousness of drink-driving to that of chewing-gum-sticking.]0 -
This is really getting out of hand now, I did not even mention my OCD to asda at any point i just mentioned it on here as when i posted i was angry i had gum stuck to my food, i can not go shopping in the store so i have no option but to get home shopping.
I am happy with what they did so whoever keeps saying im not, is wrong! i was not expecting them to do more than refund the rice and give me an apology, would have been nice for them give a little more ie £2 towards the cost of shopping (this is before i had spoken to head offices) i had thrown away, but when head offices rang me they said they had already credited £10 to my account which is more than enough to cover my shopping i threw away, i think some of that was to say sorry for the very poor customer service i had also recieved, and i no longer want to shop there due to this. So yes i am happy with the outcome its just a shame it took so long for them to say sorry, and they have now lost a customer due to lack of good customer service.0 -
why did you throw the bag of rice away when it was stuck to the outside of the bag? Why did you throw other stuff away?one of the famous 5

Due to the OP's OCD perhaps?0 -
Due to the OP's OCD perhaps?
I understand that but is this only because the OP can see it? Because lord only knows what the shopper who picked for them had on their hands and where it had come from. Plus it was on the outside so none of the food would have been taintedone of the famous 5
